Finally got the majority of my prints framed/hung.
This guy is by himself for now:
LA folks should come to the opening of this show tomorrow night. I'll be in line early so come and chat!
I widh I could! I'm planning on making the trip down for the Breaking Bad show opening tho. the Boyes Eternal sunshine is sexy.
The full collection (unless it sold out) is now in their online store.
Fuck that whole Josh Budich series is awesome. i'm very tempted to buy the Gozer and Sorceress ones.
Kevin Tong's Waynes World themed poster for The Black Keys @ Lollapalooza!

My theme is an attempt to marry my study and love of the classical Renaissance masters (personal fav Michelangelo), with all my childhood obsessions and influences from pop-culture/toys, etc. So, I placed bigger-than-life characters within the Sistine Chapel environment, elevating them to an even grander iconic stature. Similar to the way Michelangelo did with the biblical Prophets and Sybils.
I created 6 new pieces for the show. All of them are 18″x18″, 6-color screenprints; signed & numbered, limited-editions of 75 prints each (40 of each available at the show). Join my mailing list for more information.
Yeah, I was just on his site reading about them.
Also, that black Keys one is so fucking awesome
Id love to see him continue the series and drop more characters into that template.
It's the online preview. They make 5 prints available, max. You can still get them at the gallery this evening and everything else will be available tomorrow if it hasn't sold out.
picked this up today. i never get a poster for a show/festival i didn't go to, but i just loved this one too much to pass on it.

Hey cutter are you going to the iam8bit SF2 opening tonight?
The drive APs were sold out last night by 9 oclock. Only had 10 for a long sold out print.
I'm not. Missed the street fighter popularity being a 90s baby so I'm only a casual fan, good thing too since I don't have any more money to spend. Some good looking stuff from the previews I saw. Have fun!
Does anybody know if OSL does any individual artist prints a la Sasquatch?
I was wondering that myself.
the busy bee has no time for sorrow.
I hope that new Tong work in progress is for Sigur Ros at Hollywood Forever.
Not holding my breath though.
EDIT* Tong said he was approached, but it didn't work out. This gives me hope there will be a venue specific show poster though.
Emek 18x24 on shimmering lenticular icicle paper.
for those in the Los Angeles area...
I'll be attending this.
Sigh, I hate the image attachment feature on here... I will also be there! They really should do the openings on other days though. Cant imagine they get much attention on a Monday night like that.
Does anyone want the Mark Englert print for my cost + shipping? Dont have room for it and would rather it go to someone who will enjoy it.
I've not really been a fan of any of the Breaking Bad prints. Shame.
Its been a pretty mixed bag. The Danger is the only one thats really wowed me and I bought the Englert to see it in person but yeahhhh.
Biggest problem with the series is that the artist were told which character/scene to do (at least the ones I spoke to) and many of them are just too thin of slices of that show's universe. Or the implementation is just plain off trying to capture the emotion of it all. I mean, Todd Slater is a beast but what the hell happened with this. Its just so...there.
I do hope print versions of these end up at that gallery though. Love me some Mike Mitchell.
I might be interested in the Englant piece, unless its available at the show.
What time would you expect to be there to get a good spot? I've picked up from G1988 before but have never attended an art show. I'd imagine it can still get busy regardless of it being Monday.

Grabbed a lickable wallpaper wonka print and the 8-bit spring break.
