Wasn't sure where else to put this. Mark Lanegan now has a bobblehead of himself up in his online store. I kind of want one.

EDIT: hahahaha it's the ONLY item in his store

So, Explosions in the Sky are pretty incredible. I sat down and listened to their entire discography today.

I don't know why I didn't check them out sooner... I definitely loved their 2007 set.

Agreed. I made a super mix consisting of Explosions in the Sky, Boards of Canada, Sigur Ros, Trentemoller, Dntel, and Pantha Du Prince. Been listening to it alllllll day. Makes me want to live in the forest.

On Metacritic it says that Outkast is coming out with a new album this year.

Is there a thread yet where you can post an artist and people will tell you what artists sound like the artist you posted?

That Mark Lanegan bobblehead is both hilarious and suspiciously flattering.

Maybe it was initially a somewhat more handsome man repainted and relabeled. It'd certainly explain its existence in an "I found a crate of these at Goodwill and already had the hobby paint" sort of way.

So, The Mark of Cain is one of my favorite documentaries. It's basically about the Russian Prison system and the tattoo culture inside said system. This is the song from the opening credits:

I find the song to be quite powerful... and I can't even speak/read Russian.

I love the reasoning behind Lenin and Stalin tattoos.

The full documentary can be found on youtube.

Partitura is a custom software to generate realtime graphics aimed at visualising sound. Partitura aims to create a new system for translating sound into visual forms. Inspired by the studies of artists such as Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Oscar Fischinger and Norman McLaren, the images generated by Partitura are based on a precise and coherent system of relationships between various types of geometries.

    Humm interesting ... cr****

The surviving members of Pink Floyd Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason have sworn they will never reunite to tour again after breaking up in the mid-'80s, but at Roger Waters' show last night at London's O2 Arena (part of his current The Wall Live Tour), the three reunited for a rare on-stage collaboration, their third in as many decades. Watch fan-shot footage of them performing "Comfortably Numb" and "Outside the Wall" below.

But they also have a few really good nostalgia songs, and it's cool that they got as big as they did almost solely through word of mouth and touring.
