I didn't know that Volcano Suns released anything on Touch and Go. Some good stuff by that band.
Pretty sure that list is a Touch and Go + Quarterstick (T&G's sister label I read?) combo. The playlist took so long to put together, I didn't bother looking into which label put out what.
5/22 - The Cure - Hollywood Bowl
5/31 - Brian Jonestown Massacre - Teragram (?)
6/07 - Chelsea Wolfe - Teragram (?)
6/14 - Silver Apples - Troubadour
6/16 - John Carpenter - Orpheum

The Touch any Go 25th anniversary in Chicago was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Every single artist gushed over the label. And fucking Big Black played.
Big Black is the one glaring omission on that Spotify playlist, unfortunately their stuff isn't available.

Just thought I'd share this here in case any of you haven't heard..
One of the best albums ever is getting reissued again on vinyl; Marquee Moon on Dec. 4th. You can pre-order it now!
Hm the most information I've found on it was here. So I'm guessing not remastered? And not sure about the track length, I read somewhere that that's how Verlaine wanted it. But wouldn't mind if it was or not. Also, on Insound it says it features three alternate versions of See No Evil, Friction, and Marquee Moon, and a previously unreleased instrumental. Whatever it comes out to be, fuckin' hyped and this is a must buy! Pretty impossible to even find a decent price of the 2003 reissue.
Well, my copy (an early 80s repress) has a cut-off Marquee Moon, and there doesn't seem to be enough of a runout groove to fully complete the song to the recorded 10:40. The fade-out kind of really kills me, because that shimmering finale is so perfect on the full song. And yeah, this is on my short list for all-time best albums, and the title track is short list best songs and without a doubt has my two favorite guitar solos of all time.
Oo I see, that's a shame. Hoping to see a full recording then! Yeah I know what you mean. That song (as well as the album) is absolutely perfect, always wish it was ten minutes longer.
Maybe there's a thread, but, holy shit, Trapped in the Closet.
I know. Right?
So someone lately claimed that wearing a band's t-shirt to their show is considered faux-pas, a practice I've been following for a few years. I asked a couple of my other friends and have gotten mixed answers. Can anyone shed some light on this? I honestly will probably continue to wear my shirts, because fuck it, I like supporting bands AT their show, but I'd like to get a consensus on the topic.

8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
Also, simply being at the show is showing your support, isn't wearing the t-shirt kind of redundant?

I guess that's me. Oh well.
Edit: Well if I was in a band, I'd appreciate the hell out of someone a) buying my shirt and b) caring enough about my band to specifically wear it to the show. I understand it's redundant to other people, but then why is it OK (even encouraged) to wear sports jerseys to games?

I'm definitely anti-wearing the shirt of the band you're about to see as well. Very.

This seems like proper fodder to drop in here
Soo I love when I go to my iTunes and listen to albums front to back that I haven't had the time to yet, and they turn out fucking amazing. That just happened with Mission Of Burma's Vs..
Just read Nick Oliveri is also collaborating on the new Queens of the Stone Age album....
He should just fucking be back in the band.
