The first three Foo Fighters albums are great. Their output since then has been underwhelming.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
I guess this would be more related to the music edition than just "the default thread".
I'm about to buy my first vinyl player and i was wondering if this is ok or anyone know of something better for around the same price.
i don't know much about turntables, but i have a hard time believing you're going to get anything very good for $100
Jesus Christ. This is so much worse than I even imagined it would be.
ha, the title is so horrible, but i heard it on the radio this morning, and thought, "hey, this is actually pretty good"
This song was playing in a grocery store in my dream last night. It's been in my head since I woke up.
I like Coldplay. Fucking sue me. It helps that I don't pay a lot of attention to lyrics, because if I did Coldplay would make me really upset.
I like Coldplay too, even though it might not seem like it from my above post. Their first two albums really get to me. The quality of their output has really dropped since, though.
Does anybody know who the women touring with Spencer Krugs Moonface is?
Possibly his best "chorus" since "Shady Lane."
google has this cool thing in honor of les paul's birthday, you can play a guitar-like instrument, and record it as well.
New Fiona Apple cover of Buddy Holly featuring Jon Brion.
Donovan never gets mentioned on this board, and he was the fucking man.
Fun fact: Jimmy Page played lead guitar on this track.
This absolutely gutted me when I heard it today.
Just got this text from my mom who was on a plane to Madrid last night: "Have u heard of the band Caribou? The bass player sat next to me on the plane. He is getting us seats 2nite at their concert here in Madrid!"
Now tell her to go buy some "incense" from one of the street vendors in Madrid. That would just really fucking cap that story off. Those who have been, know what I am talking about.
(That's totally awesome, man! Mum is in for a treat)
Teen Inc. Year-old news for some I am sure, but I heard this on XMU for the first time last night. Tears for Fears by way of Ariel Pink; it sounded great while I was in the middle of my second rum and coke. As far as I know, these guys have only put out one single to date.
This gets my vote for lulz of the week. It'd be funny to hear Ariel Pink's reaction.
That's up at the 930 Club. I tried to win tickets to it, just to see Off! again. And seeing Dinosaur Jr would be a nice bonus.
That is such a rad photo.
