*Tom Servo, who did not log any picks week 4, had 7 wins added to his total, which was was the worst score for the week (courtesy of bobert)
Neighborhood Creep, who had a superb week 1, has been dropped from the race due to indifference.
Even I think this just plain stupid. I mean doing a twitter hash tag and selling the shirts is one thing, but really?
I kept reading "Hitner" and "Hitler". ha ha.
Despite the occasional gem, which consistently picking in the top 10 is bound to get you, I really don't have any confidence in the team's talent evaluation. (Suns too)
I think the team's talent evaluation improved markedly once Rod Graves was tossed out. Keim's made some good picks in the past and was overruled on things that wound up going crazy bad for the cardinals (remember Bryant Johnson?)
Performing well in camp and the preseason is a lot different than performing well in live games. Levi apparently had a tendency to get frazzled under real pressure and when frazzled would forget his technique and revert to bad old habits that they thought they'd cured in camp.
I agree in that the Cards are moving in the right direction, organizationally. I read somewhere that Keim was big in drafting Peterson instead of Levi, but was ultimately overruled.
Levi couldn't handle the speed rushers, and I'm happy he's gone. Freeney ate him alive in the preseason game and Quinn did, too, in the Stl game.
The comments on the Pittsburgh newspaper website crack me up.
Levi Brown was picked two spot BEFORE Adrian Peterson in the Draft. Number 5 over all. He has been in a losing program his whole career. I'd like to see him at LT and move Adams back to the right. Gilbert is the one that I suspect is a bust not Adams. But time will tell. A good trade. We are improving every week. The wins will come.Levi Brown - while not a savior - is a huge upgrade to Adams. Brown is more talented, experienced, professional and a much, much better teammate than Adams is. Provided he can get comfortable and stay healthy, he will help the Steelers a lot this year. What do you expect to get right now? GREAT offensive lineman? As long as he is serviceable. Remember, Max Starks was seen by all these so-called experts as below average, too. Adams just isn't ready yet, period. I wouldn't give up on him because he may turn out fine and the Steelers made that mistake before (Kraig Urbik). But for right now, put Brown in -- he probably will be as good or better than Max Starks was.now, to be fair, most of the comments are negative.. but these are great.Just wait till Tomlin coaches him up! GO STEELERS!
Josh Freeman officially let go. Hopefully the Jags pick him up.
In Seattle they call that burger the Richard Sherman and it tastes like victory.
big game this weekend, bobert. 4-0 Seahawks at my 3-1 Colts. Game of the week IMO. My girlfriend is a huge Hawks fan so this is an especially fun game for us. what are your thoughts? Biased aside, I like Indy...
side note: have you ever been to Backstage Bar in Culver City? We hear it's a great place to watch the Hawks and we'll probably be there sometime this month.
I've never been to the Backstage Bar but I've heard of it. I saw a guy wearing a Lynch jersey at a bar in Venice and bought him a beer. Turned out he was the head of the Seahawks fan club that meets there every week. I'll have to check it out.
for a couple of fuck-ups this Thursday game looks kinda interesting. Is Jackson back to being Spiller's superior? Norval Turner offensive playcalling. Who is this Browns QB? Probably watch the tail end after soccer practice (training with a UK feller and looking forward to his accent).
The pilgrimage is not perfected save by copulation with the camel.
oh shit what a punt return
My Browns are about to be 3-2 and alone at the top of the AFC North. Cool. And now Weeden gets to show whether he's worth another chance.
As for the Pick 'Ems, I didn't realize there was a hard cut-off of Noon for picks, and logged in just too late. Won't happen again, and I'll come back and get decent by Week 12 or so!
Also how lucky did the Raiders Chargers get. Went from most likely not even being on TV to a national broadcast game because of the time shift. They have to thank the A's for making the playoffs.
I can see the Browns having a similar season to the Cardinals from last year. Killer D, good skill players, horrendous qb. Hopefully Hoyer only has a sprain, and at least the AFC North sucks this year.
