I've been wondering about him, and last year. Did they release him early on, did he play a single snap? I did not hear his name mentioned once.

The wait for the draft has been brutal. I really hope they move it back to April next year.

Every year I think that and then the draft finally arrives and within minutes I'm bored to tears wondering why I ever looked forward to it. The way they've started covering the picks is really annoying. Goodell will walk to the podium and before he can even say a goddamn thing they cut to the crowd where the team's pick is already hugging his mother and crying with joy while Goodell stands there and acts like the name he's about to read will still be a surprise. I don't understand why they can't wait ten seconds to show that shit because they only picks that wind up having any sort of suspense are when a team selects some kid that wasn't even invited to the draft. I'll still probably watch the whole thing.

LOL. You've posted some stuff in the past that I've agreed with, but this is so spot-on! hahahahah. And yeah, I remember the Jets were on the clock a few years ago, and they cut to a camera that showed Mark Sanchez smiling while talking on his cell and putting a Jets' cap on before Goodell even walked out.

The Pats put him on IR before the season began and released him recently.

They picked up Patrick Chung from FA for his second go-round, though he'll probably be more of a nickel package guy and special teams ace than a starting safety.

    They don't spoil picks anymore.

Yeah, I was just reading that. ESPN and the NFL Network have a "gentleman's agreement" not to tip any draft picks. This is a rare improvement to the format.

Mayock still cheats though. He'll see the tip then play it off as one of his guesses for the next pick.

I'm a Vikings fan, but a very cynical/pessimistic one at that- but I love the trade to get Teddy Bridgewater at the end of the first round.Unlike last year when the Belicek and the Patriots ass-raped the Vikings to get Cordarelle Patterson (which ended up being a homerun pick, but cost them the rest of their draft), they only had to give up their 2nd and 4th this year.

I'm not even sure what to think about Teddy. During the college season he was the top overall pick on a lot of draft pundits draft boards. But his workouts were bad enough that he fell. I'm not sure he's gonna be the next Tom Brady, but I don't think he'll be a complete failure either. I'm just happy that the risk/cost was right to take the gamble. They didn't give up their draft, and they filled a need. Tough to bitch too much about that.

Teddy is already the Vike's best option. Glad to see you guys will have a fun qb to watch again.

So far Cleveland is winning the draft. They still get the guys they want and pick up an additional first for next year is not bad at all.

I don't get my 49ers picking Ward. I think he will be a good player that compliments Reids style great but safety wasn't exactly a high need. With corner and receiver higher priorities and more draft picks then we need I am just surprised we didn't move up to get one, especially since Dennard fell to 24 and Verrett right behind him. Oh well I now expect them to be very active the next two days.

Yeah I posted this before I did the research on him I was supposed to do. He will be playing the nickle my guess is eventually make his way to SS to replace Bathea in a couple seasons when he has more bulk and experience to him.

Thanks for Brandin Cooks, Cardinals! It's good to know there's no hard feelings for ruining Kurt Warner a few years ago.

Now if they can get Nix, Lawrence or Attaochu at 58, then De'Anthony Thomas at 126. Hell, I'd settle for an LB instead of someone on the D-line in the second round if Preston Brown or Trent Murphy are still there.

The San Francisco 49ers acquired Bills receiver Stevie Johnson for a mid-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported. ESPN first reported the news.

The pick is a conditional fourth-rounder that could become a third-rounder, according to a source
