HAHA. He had a good game tonight but was also kind of just in the right place at the right time.

Watch out AFC! See you on November 18th santasutt.

I'll be there in Foxboro to check out the new kid.

NBC flexed the game to 4:25 so the Luck-Brady goes prime time.

If you're going to the game, pm me for my tailgate coordinates.

This is a little confusing. Is Baltimore/Pittsburgh no longer the Sunday Night game on November 18th?

Oh. Also, "prime time" generally means the night game. That was another source of confusion. I don't think the 4:25 east-coast time slot, which is still 1:25 on the west coast, is considered prime time.

This pendejo de MA did mean NFL not NBC. Lo siento for the confusion.

The Patriots-Colts game got moved up from 1 PM to 4:25 PM.

Most of the country will see Brady v Luck but the lucky west coasters will see the Chargers at Denver.

From the ESPN NFC West blog:

Seattle's first three draft choices in 2012 include the team leader in sacks (first-rounder Bruce Irvin), the team leader in tackles (second-rounder Bobby Wagner) and the NFL's rookie leader in touchdown passes (third-rounder Russell Wilson). Irvin also leads all NFL rookies in sacks with seven after collecting two during a 28-7 victory over the New York Jets in Week 10.
If the Hawks make the playoffs I'm thinking that Pete Carroll will be a shoe-in for Coach of the Year, and John Schneider for Executive of the Year. They've made some really ballsy personnel moves that have paid off in a big way.

And if the Colts collapse, because otherwise Bruce Arians already has it sewn up.

If that were to happen he should have to share the award with Andrew Luck and Chuck Pagano's cancer.

Would Pete Carroll have to share the award with the Seahawks' secondary and fans?

My point, Tommy, was that Pete Carroll was uniformly blasted for his first three draft picks this year and every one of them has exceeded expectations. Starting a rookie third round QB that is 5' 11" is not the kind of thing most coaches would dream of. The Bruce Irvin pick was considered the reach of the draft by most of the blowhard pundits, and yet here he is at midseason leading all rookies in sacks. As for our secondary, Pete Carroll deserves credit for that too. Richard Sherman was a 4th round draft pick considered too tall to be an effective NFL corner and he is already one of the best at the position in his second year. Brandon Browner was playing in the CFL until last year and Carroll was the only NFL coach who'd give him a tryout. He made the Pro Bowl in his first NFL season. Carroll has gone the unconventional route with a lot of his personnel. These are the kinds of decisions that get coaches fired if they don't work out. Thankfully that hasn't been the case so far this season and Carroll deserves credit for sticking to his guns.

So what you're really trying to say is Pete Carroll should win NFL Executive of the Year?

Coach of the Year. John Schneider should win NFL Executive of the Year, even though Pete has final say on personnel decisions.

well, with Pagano, yes. I think Arians/Pagano will get the "oh he's got cancer what a great story" vote, and a few other voters will look to penalize Seattle for their "win" over Green Bay.

It's a great story, plus no one expected Indianapolis to be flirting with a winning record. One year removed from 2-14 and they could end up .500 or better is quite impressive. Seattle on the other hand was picked as a sleeper by some experts. I don't view what they are doing as shocking. Pete Carroll is doing a good job but that doesn't necessarily warrant COY.
