We've got Jozy for tomorrow!
Lucidity, come back to me. Put all five senses back to where they're meant to be.
Müller's trip missing the free kick and then running offside was the best thing.

Completely ridiculous - and looked planned out too! Maybe some Bayern Munich-supporting Germans remember this bit of trickery by Aberdeen in the 1982 Cup Winners Cup (skip to 6:40):
I love that the favorites have all had a very stern tests in the Round of 16, as it's made for some exciting matches. Definitely excited for tomorrow too! Apparently Jurgen announced today that Jozy will be in the squad for tomorrow's game, but having only warmed up with the team (rather than participating in full practice) I don't think we'll see him unless absolutely necessary. My fear is that he "pulls a Costa" by playing without recovering properly and then re-injuring himself shortly after coming on, so let's hope he's honest with himself and the coach and puts the team first.
I was quite taken with the German Keeper's Jersey. I wants.

Oh, and how could we not mention Suarez issuing a public apology today and vowing never to do it again after first denying any wrong doing and then letting his teammates, coach, and even Uruguay's President come to his defense? There are very strong rumors that he's on his way to Barcelona, but that they'd only pursue the transfer if he came out and publicly apologized and made a promise to not do it again; he also, rumor has it, released the statement without Liverpool knowing about it, so it seems that he may very well be off. Why else make such a complete 180?
Edit - forgot to mention this incredible pass from Neuer:

i was relieved when Germany scored its first goal, ecstatic when Ozil put in the second, and finally broke down into a laughting fit from all the built up anxiety when Djabou put in the consolation goal for Algeria. the Algerians were wonderful, and i'm very concerned about Germany's upcoming match against France.
Muller's trip was replayed on the stadium screens at least twice, and we all burst out laughing each time. i need a gif of that for posterity.

No - I think it was a part of a planned set play, but it just wasn't executed correctly at all.

Meanwhile, What do you guys think of this Argentina/Swiss game? Both teams look frustrated, but definitely a close game. Argentina coming back a bit towards the end there, but Swiss looked good at the begining of the second half. Argentina defense is still sketch, especially that goalkeeper...
This game has been fucking awful.
EDIT - as for the free-kick, I do think he meant to "trip" and make the run he did - as Cara said it just was not executed properly at all. Watch the Vine from this link and watch his feet in the run-up.
The Swiss header off the post and subsequent ricochet out of bounds is going to haunt that poor Swiss player.

I thought the 1st half was pretty exciting. Good opportunities on both sides
Yeah, i felt the game was good, they slowed down a bit i feel in attempt to save energy in case they went to a.e.t., which they did. The last 10 minutes were solid excitement. Pretty evenly matched game, the Swiss just couldnt get their passing down once close to the Argentinian 18.
Interesting, it looked so bad that I never would have figured it was planned. Though now I'm seeing that Schweinsteiger is looping back before (or at least as) Müller starts to fall and the former would be in the way if the latter had kicked the ball.

We didn't look too good that half.

Howard the one man team. Even if somehow the US win this game there is no way they're gonna get any further with the way they are playing.
They're absolutely static up front, the midfield is making no aggressive advances, and there's been tons of terrible first touches. Tim Howard can't block every shot.

Win or lose, Tim Howard deserves a fucking medal for this game.

Howard is my best friend.
Thats the way they should have been paying the whole time.
Amazing Game. Unfortunate the player of the game was on the losing side. Bravo to Howard, WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU WAITING FOR REST OF THE TEAM?!
Julian Green's movement in the box that led to his goal was like, the only dynamic movement in and around box the whole game.
