Jefferson Starship - Miracles <3
I have always wanted to see Andrew W.K. live.
I <3 Patsy Cline.
Andrew W.K. is one of the best live performers I have ever seen. He only played for half an hour at Warped Tour and it is still to this day one of the best shows I have ever been too. The crowd was rowdy as hell, but in a friendly way. Everyone was there to have a good time together, not to beat the living fuck out of one another. So if you ever get the chance to see Andrew W.K. live... do it.
I also saw him do a spoken word lecture last year. He is very though provoking, insightful even. He also broke a table. It was fucking awesome. I talked to him for about 20 minutes afterwards and he is one of the nicest, smartest, funniest, most genuine guys I have ever met.
I should also mention he is not a guilty pleasure of mine. I am very open about how much I enjoy Andrew W.K. In fact, I wore an Andrew W.K. shirt Saturday at Coachella this year. I am wearing it in a few pictures with board members.
Apparently I'm just about the only person in America who likes Cui Jian, because I can never find the guy's music anywhere. I search all the time. I've got one album that I found used in a chinese flea market sale in Chinatown LA, and one song from a compilation my friend from Beijing gave me, but that's it.
So, if any of you find Cui Jian's music, let me know.
"Who is this doing this synthetic type of Alpha Beta psychedelic funkin'?"
I am going to get so blown to Cypress Hill while they play.
I still listen to the Dead Milkmen, quite often actually. No shame, just pure pleasure.
at the end of their run, they were just regular old math metal, but they started out really cool. LD50 was a really really good concept album. it was technically and aurally challenging.
but everybody just saw the video for "dig" (one of the only songs in 4/4 on the album) and took the costumes seriously and there went their credibility. it's too bad. ryan martinie is an animal
DragonForce. I don't take them seriously, like an unfortunate amount of people do... I like them because thier music puts a smile on my face. It even makes me laugh at times. I don't think that is what they, the band, were going for, but that is why I like their music. I can't listen to them too often though. Its only for when I am in the mood to laugh/for something epic.
Also, that video was awesome Bryan. I really enjoyed it.
Music that no one likes except me..
