I've worked for Rob in the past..havent emailed with him in awhile, but I do know that his solo album was picked up by a major label and is being re-released. He's also been touring to support it.....www.robdickinson.com.
He told me that he talks to the guys all the time but said there weren't any plans (at the time) of getting back together. I bet they will at some point though...there doesn't seem to be any animosity.

The one time i got to see the Catherine Wheel was one of my favorite live musical experiences. Way back in like 91 or 92 i was working the weekend shift at a radio station that was physically based in Santa Monica around 5th and Santa Monica known as Mars FM. The Catherine Wheel was getting huge play on our station with "Black Metallic" and they were going to play on our second story roof to perform for whoever showed up on the sidewalk. Technical difficulties caused the performance to be moved right outside the entrance of our building on 5th St. There were no barriers or security, just them and the small crowd in the early afternoon on a weekday. They were great.
Rob played at Coachella in 2006:
He was excellent. i'd show up at a Catherine Wheel show, no doubt.
