so damned sweet against the Wings
so damned sweet against the Wings
Wow. Reminds me of when brodeur did that and kopitar went low during the 2012 final. Probably the save of the year so far.
hell yes. fuck the red wings.
Fuck the Redwings and Todd Bertuzzi. He should have been banned for life.
Such a ridiculous save. I jumped up off my couch going nuts when I was watching that live. All those haters in the comments section saying he was lucky can fuck off. Luck didn't make him extend his right ankle towards the ceiling at the right time.
Sharks now have 2 top ten plays of the entire season in the first month so therefore herp da derp da playoffs

LA takes the first one! Not bad for the second on a back to back. Those last 15 mins plus OT is what the Kings are all about. Hear an interesting stat last night that the Sharks are 0-11-1 in their last 12 games at Staples Center. I'm sure their is a similar stat for the kings at the Shark tank. Whoever has home ice wins the series. Maybe the Kings will get 5th in the pacific so that the series can be the WCF. Regardless, these two teams have provided some very entertaining hockey against each other the past several seasons.
the Kings have 5 shootout wins already this season. They have more shootout wins than regular wins. the next most by any team is 2.
They actually have four. The Kings are far from playing their best hockey. But when was the last time they were in the regular season?
huh. ESPN.com shows them with 5. But now I see NHL.com shows them with 4. Why can't these people count?
your first mistake was checking ESPN for hockey news and stats.
I only watched the first period and OT last night, but great game!!

Insane overtime/shoot out to the Ducks/Kings game tonight. Jones in net for the Kings in his first ever start and gets the win. Plus has anyone every seen that many penalties that even the refs were confused on what to do? plus the 9 round shoot out with only one goal allowed in that time is just insane.
some random NHL thoughts.
Have you seen TSN's new "wild card" standings page? it's pretty neat: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/standings/
Team USA Roster
and hey cool, 5 in row kings! oh wait, those are losses... at least Quick is back. Why the heck was Sutter playing Scrivens so much when Jones was playing so well?Goaltenders

I'm not sure how I feel about Quick playing in Sochi. I'm sure he'd do well for Team USA, but I worry about him reaggravating his injury. at the same time, he thrives on lots of playing time and after missing so much time, maybe he needs it.

Quick was awesome tonight- welcome back. Some props due to Loungo for stopping so many shots. But Carts was his better.

Debating going to my first game in about 15 years with my lady and her son. Which game will be a better experience? Wild @ Kings or Bruins @ Ducks. Not a huge hockey fan but I know quite a bit Bruins from the Playoffs last season.
Staples center will be the better experience, hands down.
agreed, I've been to both and even though I'm a kings fan I say Staples is the better arena without my team bias.
Ducks/Bruins might be the better game, though.

so, Gaborik. good things happen when the Kings make a deadline deal with Columbus, right?
I'm finally going to the Kings/Ducks game in a couple weeks! a girlfriend picked up some seats in the lower bowl for a really great price and it's been 3 or 4 seasons since my last visit to staples, so I'm excited.

I don't know what the current team in Philly has done with the real Flyers, but I'm enjoying the win streak.
