I was torn between Post and Homogenic, but Army of Me and Hyperballad push it over the top
Vespertine is easily her best, but Post is my favorite.
Post, Homogenic and Vespertine are all very good. Personally, I like Homogenic slightly more because of Alarm Clock and All is Full of Love. But then again, Hyperballad on Post is so good too...
Dancer in the Dark was a movie.
The soundtrack is called Selmasongs. Just for clarification.
(____surrounded): Is her best!![]()
Really though, I'm in love with Medulla. I know it's not terribly popular, but it's beautiful, very well-done, and the high-concept is well served by the execution. I can't wait for her "hip-hop" album tracks produced by Timbaland!
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
Homogenic gets my vote. Post and Debut are very close though.
I agree with hangthedj, Vespertine is the best. But my heart is with Post and Hyperballad.
Vespertine is the best in my opinion but Medulla is my current favorite.
Homogenic has like 4 of my favorite 20 or so songs ever--Joga, Bachelorette, Alarm Call, and All Is Full Of Love (although I prefer the single version to the album version). It's probably my favorite album of all time.
They're all pretty great, though.
I pretty much like all her albums equally, so I chose Debut because it didn't have any votes.![]()
I miss talking to TomAz.
We all do. I live in the same city as him (unless he relocated) and rumor has it that at 3:15am if you listen closely and its really really quiet you can hear him telling you to go fuck yourself.
man, i cannot wait to see her perform songs from Medulla and the new album! i hope she teams up there with matmos again who totally raised the level of her songs on the greatest hits tour with all the avant-garde beats and sounds. ye-ah.
I voted for Debut, but only if it's the non-UK version with "Play Dead" on it. God, I fucking love "Play Dead"!
...Vespertine or Homogenic...grrr, both great albums. Well, my favorite track is on Homogenic so I guess that wins.
homogenic. no doubt about it, and I just got it in DTS!!! hell yes!

this is hard but homogenic
Glad to see Homogenic is in the lead. Great record. Also, I think I am the only Bjork fan that doesn't really like Hyperballad. I dunno.

Your Debut must be broken. Medulla! Medulla! Medulla!
At some point in time a man switches from "I'll have what he's having" to "I'll have what I'm having."
VESPERTINE = SEKS MUZAK = WIN

im so suprised that verspertine isnt in the lead. how noone mentions "its not up to you" or "aurora" or "an echo, a stain" as their favorite songs really boggles me...
"Play Dead" wasn't on the original pressing of "Debut", but was a single release taken from the soundtrack of a Brit gangster movie from 1993 called Young Americans.
Written with composer David Arnold (and PIL bassist Jah Wobble), think of a Bjork mashup with the James Bond score and you'll have only half an idea of how utterly magnificent this track is.
When Debut was re-released, the record company added the track to it, so if you bought it at that point your version will have it. I think the Japanese pressing also had an extra track called "Atlantic".
She will be playing with a new band- Matmos will NOT be on board this time.
coachella vet: 02, 03, 06, 07, 08, 09......

It will be fantastic..I have a strong feeling that lightning bolt will be part of her backing band..at least the drummer since he is helping her on her new album...Also members of Konono #1 will be helping on it too..and they are performing Sunday..Hell all she needs is Rahzel and Dokoka and she has a kick ass line up right there...
