(with all due repect to Erik...)
So I was playing first base in the second game of a softball double header last night, when I got hit in the eyeball with an absurdly ahrd hit softball. The team we were playing was a bunch of pricks and I was pissed off with them already, but when their centerfielder went down hard, grabbing her knee and their whole team went out there to gather around her, I went out to see if she was OK and offered to call the ambulance if she needed it. I'm a nice guy like that. Then, the next inning, when I got smacked hard after the ball hit a rock, and was on the ground, the guy that hit it came up to me and said "That's what you get!"... I kind of lost it. Despite being in bad pain, I started yelling at him, and was in a fighting mood... mind you, I've never thrown a punch in my life... but I was ready to kill that motherfucker. Anyway, I was just yelling at him and I got kicked out of the game for dropping an F-Bomb. I had just been hit in the face with a softball, and I can't cuss?
Back to topic, I showed up to work with the nice begining of a black eye. I thought I would keep a running photo record of the shiner's progression. It could have been a lot worse. I am a little nervous that it isn't swelling, but I feel a lot of pressure on my eye. It's my way getting more involved again. Don't say I don't care.
