I'd love to see TV On The Radio, The Kills, Devotchka, Superdrag, The Presets, The Avett Brothers and Akron/Family at Treasure Island. They are all playing Monolith so there is a pretty good chance they will be there.
I'm hoping for Does It Offend You, Yeah?
justice will close the main stage at coachella next year.
And they won't play Coachella three years in a row.
are people mad because they think justice are bad djs? they played the fucking jazzmutant lemur, daft punk style, and people suck daft punks dick all day long. are people mad that they are popular and have an image? only a year goes by and all of the sudden everyone is hating on them just for gaining some popularity and i do believe they had the whole sahara tent on fire sunday night. not saying they're deserving of being labeled the greatest new thing out there, but i mean what is the reason people suddenly hate them? it's an honest question
Justice is definitely a little more dancey than the acts that played last year. and given the venues they are playing these days, I can't help but wonder if they are a little big for the tiny treasure island. but I'd love to see them headlining a day.
One day last year was really electronic/dance oriented though, I think Justice more or less fits in when you consider MIA, DJ Shadow + Cut Chemist, Thievery, etc.
I think Cut/Copy would work really well.
I havent' been to this festival...but have wanted to go the past 2 years!!!
I want to go to this, but it will depend on line up. Outside lands is out because its WAY TOO expensive.
so I emailed another planet asking when they expect to release the lineup (as I am waiting for that before I make a decision about the monolith festival). it should be out in about a month:
We don’t have an exact announce date yet, but it’s looking like it will be late May/early June.
damn ill be in sf alot for shows:
sept: treasure island festival
oct: hardly strictly bluegrass festival
gonna be fun!
Disliking Mickey Avalon isn't hating--it's common sense. The guy is talentless, human garbage.
