Randy's right. I'd take an under-attended show over one I can't get tickets for. And if you're cheap or poor, you can get a ticket outside or on craigslist at the last minute for a fraction of face value.

Live Nation was willing to pony up for an arena tour where they could go nuts on the production. Why turn that down?

They can do a theater tour anytime they want in the future. Arenas aren't guaranteed in the future unless they agree to a double bills with acts like Blink 182/Soundgarden/Marilyn M.

That said, I've always been perplexed by the fact Jack White/REM/NIN aren't/weren't always slam dunk arena fillers in the US.

Well in Jack White's case the reason probably has to do with him sucking shit.

Hmm, I always figured Jack White's generic blues bs and nasaly voice to be right up your alley.

Can't stand nasal singers. He's right up there with Corgan in the list of Musicians Who Could Have Been Great. If They'd Just Hired A Capable Singer

Ding ding ding. "I don't want my kids hanging out with the Black Keys' kids because they copied me." You didn't invent shit, Jack. Get over yourself.

Voodoo got a full 27 song setlist, and a pretty sweet one at that.

I got the 2 songs I wanted at OSL, so I'm making a wishlist again.

    1. Into the Void (not played at MOF, drunk Faxy fb-ing )
    2. Various Methods of Escape
    3. Sanctified (reworked version)

I never said Into the Void was played at Mountain Oasis, maybe you were drunk reading? lol I posted that Even Deeper was played at Mountain Oasis because I had never heard it live before and it was fucking great and I didn't expect it.

    We also got reworked Sanctified.

Just got the nin tickets e-mail. They plan on setting up an official merch booth outside of US Airways for the Phoenix show where you can buy merch and put it in your car. Also, they are selling a limited edition art poster for this specific show at this outdoor merch location only.
    One art poster per customer.

Saw NIN for my first time this past weekend at Voodoo. It was indeed awesome. Quite the production too.

Well, it does appear that Nails is touring in April. I know it doesn't mean Coachella is a sure thing, but it makes it seem more likely.

For a 2 day festival, who are the headliners and who are the subs? Notice how Soundgarden/Arcade alternate 2nd/3rd spot.

is NIN subbing in South America?

Lollapalooza (in America) has two main stages. I don't know how Lolla in South America sets things up, but I imagine the layout is somewhat similar.

    September 1 - Gwar
    September 11 - Negură Bunget
    September 14 - GY!BE
    September 19 - Chelsea Wolfe
    September 20 - Titus Andronicus
    September 25 - Kraftwerk

    October 10 - The Sword& Kadavar
    October 13 - Autechre
    October 14 - Ghost
    November 4 - Puscifer
    November 7 - FFF/Mayhem/Watain/Rotting Christ
November 13 - Housecore Horror Fest
    November 14 - Deafheaven
    March 24 - David Gilmour

^ The South American Lolla's have two main stages with alternating time slots, rather than opposing time slots like the American version.

At least that has been the setup in the past.

So I'm seeing NIN tonight. Just got an email from the venue. Doors at 6:30 and show starts at 7:30 which I take it to mean Explosions In The Sky Start at 7:30. How long have the openers been playing? I'm driving about 70 miles down to San Antonio so I don't want to leave too early. Thanks in advance.

EitS played for about 45 minutes.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

The set tonight was so great. I haven't seen them since 2008 so I was really happy to get to see them again. Setlist was fantastic and the new songs sounded excellent. Hesitation Marks really comes alive live. Only song I didn't get that I really wanted to hear was Various Methods of Escape but I'm sure I'll get it in Vegas.

Buddy of mine has a ticket for the Phoenix show that he cant use. He's pretty much willing to give it away as long as whoever gets it is able to pay for the expedited shipping costs.
