Two of the U.K.'s most inventive electronica artists - Aphex Twin and Goldfrapp - have been added to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup, along with indie songwriter Kate Nash, System of A Down frontman Serj Tankian, power popsters Redd Kross and English soul singer Adele.
Coachella will be held April 25-27 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
Aphex Twin, born in Ireland as Richard David James, and Goldfrapp, a highly theatrical London electronic duo featuring Alison Goldfrapp on vocals and synthesizer and Will Gregory on synthesizer, are highly anticipated additions, according to online buzz, but specific performance days have not yet been announced.
Serj Tankian, lead singer of Systen of A Down, has been announced for the Friday opening night, while Kate Nash, a previously announced English singer-guitarist, has been set for Saturday, April 26.
No dates have been set yet for Redd Kross or Adele.
Coachella also announced onsite lodging with premium tent accommodations for the first time.
Two-, four- or six-person tent packages feature airbeds with sleeping bags and pillows for each camper. Beyond the sleeping accommodations, campers in a special area of the polo fields will enjoy larger camping plots with more privacy and access to upgraded amenities including deluxe showers and restrooms, complimentary breakfast buffet and adjacent parking.
