Im not sure if i completely missed the boat on You Can Count On Me. It's great. It's really really good. If anyone knows where i can find the extended version of Margaret I would be eternally grateful.
Certain songs they get so scratched into our souls
All told, Rosen found 17 different articles about Spring Breakers written by complete assholes.
After seeing that it beat out The Wind Rises for the LAFCAA Best Animation award yesterday, I watched Ernest & Celestine earlier. It was wonderful. I have a feeling I'll like The Wind Rises more when I see it, but this was still very good.
OMG GRANDMA BUST OUT THE BONG DUDE LOOK WHAT TRAILER WAS JUST RELEASED
God, they're cutting fucking brilliant trailers for that movie.
No interest in seeing it, but the trailers are handled very well. The earlier one with the Oppenheimer quote playing over it was fucking great.
Watched "The Hedgehog" (French) on Sunday. Loved it.
Note: there is no actual hedgehog in the film. It's, you know, one of those artsy foreign film metaphors.
7/22 Moving Units - 8/5 Frank Turner - 9/24 Sigur Ros - 10/8 Allah-Las - 10/12 Crystal Fighters - 10/14 RJD2 - 10/17 Temper Trap
Damn that Godzilla trailer got me so hyped. They even used the original kanji logo, so awesome.
Goddammit, I had to sit through Crash last night for the first time thanks to a co-worker. How can people stand such fucking obvious, on the nose, WE'RE DISCUSSING WHAT THE MOVIE IS ABOUT AT EVERY MOMENT bullshit. I mostly tuned it out after the first 20 minutes but I still had to scoff at a couple of scenes (Matt Dillion saving the woman he groped earlier especially).
On the other hand, the other movie that was called Crash first is one of the more wonderfully demented movies I have ever seen.
Brokeback was completely unwatchable in its own right.
