After that raving P4K review, I decided to check them out. They have a whole album up on their myspace, and it's pretty awesome. Grizzly Bear-esque in the vocal department, very baroque and booming.
They are playing tonight with Blitzen Trapper, I can't go though, I have a date tonight, and she is not 21+
I saw that article, checked out their myspace and was disappointed.

typical. predictable. enjoyable. anticipating.
What do people think of the new song?
Free to download on soundcloud at the moment.
I'm not really a fan, but "White Winter Hymnal" is a lovely tune.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
they are nice but they smell. they always smell. so bad. j tillman is cool i guess. but yaaaawn to the rest.
I find Fleet Foxes incredibly boring. I tried but couldn't get into them. I saw J. Tillman do an acoustic set at Sasquatch though and it was great. It was at the Yeti while I was grabbing some food, and I think I ended up staying to watch the whole thing. It wasn't until the next year that I found out he was a member of Fleet Foxes though.
Yeah, he's been doing his thing for a long time. I think I saw him for the first time randomly at some coffee shop in 2004 (right before I Will Return came out). I liked what he was doing then more than what he's doing now, but he's definitely a serious step up from the Fleet Foxes stuff.
Not a huge fan of the Fleet Foxes. And if you live in LA and haven't seen them live up until now but want to, skip the Palladium show and wait until next time. Unless you're in the front, people chit chat like no other at that venue, and after hearing how bad the crowd was at Grizzly Bear there I can only imagine the talking will be that much more distracting for FF.

new song is fantastic. def gonna catch these guys live this tour.
I'm listening to Ragged Wood right now. I already liked them in 2009, but didn't get a chance to see them at Coachella. I also missed Band of Horses, due to conflicts, which was really a bummer.
