If it doesn't happen this year it wont ever happen. Still want to get a chance to see what they are like live. I'm not going to complain if they suck live now, so be it. Just walk to another stage and keep enjoying Since I left You when I get home.

The Avalanches seminal debut Since I Left You is set to get the deluxe treatment with a 10-Year Anniversary issue in the works.
The re-issue will feature "the original classic album accompanied by a bonus disc of material including remixes from the original album campaign, new reworks from the likes of El Guincho, MF Doom, Canyons, Black Dice, Jackson and his Computer Band, some exquisite Avalanches remixes of other artists, plus unreleased early b-sides, demo tracks and other such rarities.
"I think we'll get a couple of singles out this year but the album will be early next year I think."

This morning, they Tweeted, "new song 'the stepkids' w/ Jennifer RTX . current album working titles - 'on a saturday' / 'friday night fever'". And they added this photo, which seem to be the lyrics to a new song.
Cut Copy could be recording with fellow Melbourne band The Avalanches after an Instagram photograph was posted on Twitter.
Cut Copy are currently in the studio working on their fourth record, the follow up to the #3 ARIA charting album, Zonoscope.
The quartet posted the below pictures with the tweet "A visit from the Avalanches in the studio today!"

Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
while I love that album, i'm not holding my breath for these guys to do anything anytime soon.
this. although, if they conjure up a winning collaboration or two, who is to say they wouldn't be prime targets for a late afternoon set? i nearly shit myself when i read that Danny Brown was working with them
