Also Ziggy is a really big fan of his penis.

I just finished season 1 last night and cant wait to start season 2.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
Agreed on season two. Initially, I didn't think it compared to the other seasons until I watched all of the respective seasons multiple times as a complete body of work. A very different chapter to an eclectic and amazing novel, so to speak.
Yabs says they get better each season.
For me, it's hard to say which season is best. I would initially say season 3 is my personal favorite, but after viewing 4 again, it's tough to make a case for any particular season. I suppose the easy way would be to say that all of them are my favorite. There's never been a show imo that has been so consistent over every season/episode. I'm never let down. I'd be surprised if you feel differently after seeing and absorbing each episode.
Also, Ziggy is the Jar Jar Binks of The Wire.
I am this close to leaving work early so that I can go home and watch an ep before I have to be somewhere tonight.
Ziggy is Jar Jar? Oh man. I don't know, he's obnoxious but I keep thinking it will come to a point where he'll have a really important epiphany or make some kind of important, heavy choice that will validate him because otherwise why is he the focus so often?
Season 2 was the weakest.
Season 3 was the best.
Possibly the best season of any show anytime.
Season 5 is starting out like it has Fonzied.
Thank God this is the last season.

Are you pushing it out, you ******?
Nah, he's far more sympathetic of character than Jar Jar ever was.
Also, Ragingdave has ragingly retarded opinions, despite liking the show overall. It's like he doesn't like it when he's not the only one liking something so he starts trashing on the specific parts of what people like. That way he can differentiate himself. As if having one ball isn't enough.
But this isn't about Ragingdave.
SPOILERZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Season 4 was the one that was most affecting and had the most to say about the roots of social problems, IMO.
Season 3 was, perhaps, the boldest season and took some risks that paid off fantastically, but ultimately relied on some suspension of disbelief. But they did pull it off which was amazing.
Cedric Daniels made a cameo on Lost last night. I thought that was awesome.
Apparently Jamie Hector (Marlo) will be on "Heroes" as well.
I've just started the last episode of season 2. I have the first two dvds of season 3 on deck. Thoughts below:
Damn Ziggy you done fucked up. Watching Frank Sabatka watch his little skinny kid go back into the crowd of giant prisoners through the window of the visitation room was brutal. Oh god my heart it still hurts. And I can't believe the Greeks did Frank like that, although honestly I thought he was going to kill himself when he went to work that load by throwing himself off the ship or jumping in font of a crane on purpose. It just seemed all dramatic how he borrowed that guy's card and whatnot. I don't like Nick, I think he's a scumbag.
Moving on, Stringer Bell is starting war with Avon, eh? I'm happy that they keep that plotline going throughout season 2 and I hope that it keeps going through the rest of them. Omar is my favorite character. I could tell that Stringer was trying to set up Brother whatshisname because he needs him to back off so he can continue to trade Avon's turf for the good drugs but then at the part where Brother whatshisname's bodyguard throws something down to the dog, I thought it was eyeballs for a minute and I was like WHOA is it really him that did that boy like that? But leave it to Omar to play the game with honor. I can't wait to see how he takes this back on Stringer. I wonder if this is how Stringer will die and I also wonder if Omar will go to Avon and rat Stringer out. Probably not. I don't know.
I want to reveal my ignorance on something too, I don't even know what drug it is they are slinging in the towers. Is it cocaine? Because to me it looks like cocaine, but they're always talking about heroin (and I know that's what the Greeks were smuggling in and selling through Nick and White Mike, etc.) but I thought heroin was yellow and the stuff that the Greeks washed down the drain was white. Educate me?
Spoilers
They sell both heroin and coke, it is mentioned in passing several times, easy to miss. See Ziggy was very important when it came down to it. He wanted to live the life but couldn't take it when actually killed someone, very painful to watch him in the car after he shot the fencer, with him knowing that he had thrown his whole life away. I also really liked Frank and his character, he was just trying to help out his people, and got killed for it. My favorite characters would be Omar, Bunk and Prop Joe, but it is very close with Bodie, Stringer, and Freeman.
I also love Bubbles a lot. Thanks for explaining about the druhgs.
Season 1 spoilerz.
It was sad when Bubbles could not give Mcnulty back the money he gave him to buy drugs and he was also not able to tell him he was trying to get clean.
Yes, that part was super sad, especially because you could see how hard it was going to be for him to take the money and not break his sobriety.
