It's not something I'd ever want to do in my lifetime. I think I'll stick to the desert.

After reading Into Thin Air it's made me much more interested in Mount Everest. It amazes me that people put themselves through that.
It's incredible. Even today with all that modern gear. You are simply slowly killing yourself. You just hope to make it back before it catches up with you.
I can't imagine what it must have been like to be Hillary and Norgay. They had no idea what was waiting for them beyond each turn.
Talk about accomplishing something huge in your lifetime.
