this not going out of town or having a bunch of plans over a three-day weekend business is fantastic. i love being lazy around my house and having time to stop and dance naked in my new rain boots whenever i feel like it
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Just had some delicious Kahlua and orange cupcakes. Tasty
I am in a mediocre to good mood because, while having the upper hand in a situation may give the illusion of power to any novice, I realize that if there is an upper hand to be had, I'm probably not in a very good situation.
I didn't cry at all yesterday, not even when Nick finally decided I was worthy of a text to arrange to meet to exchange the remaining stuff we have of each others. I have several plans in the works for the next few weeks, it's Thirsty Thursday and I have some amazing friends. Screw the sappy shit, I am back to being happy... Even too happy if that can even be a thing.
Not mad over this at all.
Got a call from my credit card company questioning some charges. Looks like someone stole my number and tried to buy over $4,000 worth of stuff at a Home Depot in Oklahoma. It was declined. There's a small charge on my card that I didn't make, but that will be refunded to me. I make a lot of purchases on this card (some in the thousands), so I'm kind of glad that Capital One noticed this as fraudulent.
Only downside is now I need to figure out where I have automatic payments set up and change my cc info.
I just booked my hotel room for my San Diego trip. I used Hotwire for the first time and got a pretty nice hotel, very close to the beach for $200. This is the first time my kids and I will have gone on a vacation together without other people. I am really excited.
I'm all over the place today.
This morning I pulled up too far on one of those concrete parking stops and it pulled my finder off when I backed up. I snapped it back into place, but real work will need to be done on it.
On the way to Vegas, I hit every green light between the 134 and the airport on Hollywood Way.
I chewed gum for the first time in months and getting out of the car at the airport it pulled one of my old fillings out.
The airport does not have denture or teeth supplies.
I am now in an airport bar and even though it's a mediocre Burbank airport bar, it's still an airport bar and they are one of my most favorite places to drink.
My former coworkers were traveling down the street to get some food. As they were approaching an intersection, a driver of a passenger vehicle traveling the opposite direction took a left turn and cut off the ambulance. The EMT knew he couldn't stop in time, tried to swerve to avoid hitting him, but ended up being air born and flew into the intersection hitting the passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle had to be transported (I heard minor injuries). The crew of the ambulance is ok, thank goodness. Just glad to hear that my former coworkers are fine.

How is this mediocre or good? I get everyone's ok, but it really is all bad.
It's good because they're ok. We've had some pretty terrible incidents in the past, so knowing that the crew came out unscathed made us all happy.
pretty hungover and my neck is swollen from windmilling at Russian Circles last night, I met Chelsea Wolfe though so that was cool
It's strange to put in here put I am now single. Feeling pretty good about it. Probably the best and most mature break up I've ever had. The thing I'm really not looking forward to is putting myself back out there..
Bitching about it on the internet probably isn't helping the cause.
To be fair, Audra was pretty miserable for a while. She was putting on her happy face there. (love you, Audra!)
DOgvolta, I hope you get through rough this time as quickly as possible.
the busy bee has no time for sorrow.
I found my peanut butter and jam at work that I thought someone had stolen or thrown away.
Aww, I didn't mean that was fake happy, Audra. You were trying to be positive, and I think that was a healthy way to react.

Just jerked off...satisfied, but cleaning the mess does not heighten my mood
Todayís menu in the work cafeteria included Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Gravy. Not only was the decision to serve it this week terrible, but the food itself was terrible. If itís some sort of psychological ploy to get us even more excited for quality food on Thanksgiving, itís working.
A few weeks ago I lent out my camera to a friend for filming, he insisted that it was such a big private deal that he couldn't allow me to film with my camera. I had him buy me a sandwich to borrow said camera. Got a call while he was filming it, he didn't know how to use my camera, and also used some faulty media of his which caused the device to not record properly. He ended up spending $150 to have someone else film it near by. I just tested my camera and it works fine.
I'm satisfied that, although I did not get to film something, my "friend" ended up having to cost himself even more money be being a cheap ass and made himself look bad in front of producers for the "big" segment he was doing "test" shots for.
I found half a joint in my purse. But now I have to go buy a lighter.
