surprisingly, the raw organic food booth had a pesto pizza/pasta combo that was not bad and their raw coconut drinks were to die for!
Second was veggie curry bowls near the Sahara.
Always wear a helmut
The quesadillas in the food court by the outdoor theater were the best.
Strawberry lemonade n spicy beef quesadilla it was so good...
"I wonder how many people in this city live in furnished rooms. Late at night when i look out at the buildings I swear I see a face in every window looking back at me and when I turn away I wonder how many go back to their desks and write this down...."
-Leonard Cohen
The steak fajitas were..... unbelievable.
A little too small, and a little too expensive, but that flavor....... Man.
the Black Angus burger I got was other-worldly good. I wolfed that fucker down in less than a minute.
Spicy Pie was great as always, but on Sunday i tried the pizza place in the food court (NY Pizza something or other) next to the Gobi and it fucking sucked. I ate half of it then threw it away and walked over to Spicy Pie.
If we're lucky something will happen. Some adversity will happen and something unexpected will happen and you'll get tired and you'll get hungry, you'll have trouble going to the bathroom, and you'll lose your car keys, and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now we'll say "We lived, we lived." - Wayne Coyne on Coachella
I wish I had some Spicy Pie.
The personal pan in the beer garden was decent, and the quesadilla was fucking bullshit. Seriously it had like half a slice of cheese between two large tortillas. To make it worse I was going to eat the last piece then a couple hot girls walked by and I fucking dropped it. I swear that was my Coachella low even if it lasted 4 seconds.
The Philly Cheesestake and Loaded Nachos towards the main entrance were kick ass though.
Saved two girls at DFA. Come at me karma.
COACHELLACOLLECTIVE
i had spicy pie too but the chicken taquitos with fresh guacamole were so good i stopped there twice.
meow
Had Spicy Pie and garlic fries all weekend. But those chicken taquitos were really good too.
This was my first Coachella and I have to say everything I ate was good:
- Baked Yam (just brushed off a lot of the excess brown sugar)
-Spicy Pie (totally worth the hype)
-Chicken taquitos (though the slop bucket for the guacamole was slightly off-putting lol, tasted amazing though)
(also I though the $10 lime margaritas in the dome beer garden was totally worth the $10)
My first novel, Darkhouse, has been published and is available here on Amazon. It has nothing to do with Coachella. Or vampires.
Does anybody know which company made the big jugs of magical green juice in the camping area? It was $10 a pint (quart?) for this stuff that looked like salsa verde, but tasted like HEAVEN. I want to know if I can find it anywhere else.
Is this it?

i too had the $10 margarita around the heineken dome and i even asked the guy to show me the ingredients and then offered my tip first before he mixed it up hoping he'd put extra tequila in it...overall the taste was good but of course the size of the cup could have been bigger. It should have been charged as much as the beer.

all the pizzas from the spicy pie people were good, the best overall taste and bang for your buck at coachella. the chicken tenders with fries for $10 were alright but they fuckin ran out of ranch for the whole day on Saturday or Sunday or maybe even both., how do you run out of ranch selling chicken tenders !!??
I could go for some of that pulled pork BBQ in the north corner of the food court. Just got the meat, no bun, no sauce.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
There was an organic vegan place by the Outdoor that had these hummus wraps. I ate those every single day, they were huge and delicious. I think it was called Palm Cafe or something. Far and away my favorite vendor.
Masala Fries. Mmmmmhmmhmmhm
That was the website listed on the coupon they gave me, so I'm assuming that's them.
I remember they were giving out free samples in the shower line and they gave me a 2.00 off coupon with the little cup. I thought it tasted terrible but I felt really good after drinking it.
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
Can we get some pics of the food please?!?!?!
