[QUOTE=iamellyn; There was a burrito stand by the Outdoor stage that sold steak burritos with rice, black beans, and cheese. They were huge and only $8. Reminded me of chipotle.
This. The chicken burrito was perfectly filling but not too heavy.
Every time I see this thread I get a vicious craving for spicy pie. Damn you all to hell.
Also, the date blended coffee thing.
The farmer's market is my favorite. Fresh chips and guacamole and agua de fresa to drink. My favorite breakfast/lunch.
BACK FOR 2012! PINK'S FAMOUS HOT DOGS!!!
Before or after your festival experience, visit the world famous Pink's Hot Dogs located along the campground's main food row in onsite camping. Be on the look out.A poutine truck? This I have to try. Hope they get the Nom Nom Truck, too.FOOD TRUCKS
We love the local food truck trend and have brought all your favorites out to Indio. Located behind the peaked tents, and in both VIP areas, food trucks such as Kogi, Border Grill, Gravy Train Poutinerie Truck, Coolhaus and the Greasy Weiner will serve you from their world-famous food trucks all day long.
12/16-18 Day for Night
I was really high and it was hot outside, so the waffle ice cream sandwich was by far the best thing I ate.
The Indian place last year had killer Dal with rice. Simple, spicy lunch, didn't weigh you down, and left you feeling 10 degrees cooler than you did going in. I'm not a vegetarian, but I avoid meat during Coachella because I don't think that it mixes well with the heat and the high levels of physical activity.
Pineapple Spicy Pie not bad either.
Spicy Pie has my heart.
Farmer's market for breakfast with berries, orange juice, green drink, breakfast quesadillas.
There was this pork ribs place with an absurdly good spicy barbeque sauce in the terrace. Crossing my fingers they are back.
The worst was that I had never ventured into the beer garden with the Heineken dome until about thirty minutes before Kanye last Sunday. I was heartbroken that I didn't know all those food trucks were there. Will rectify this year.
spicy pie! i dunno if i can ever eat the garlic fries again. last year, i got them as a snack then i realized two door cinema club was about to go on so we ran to their set. it was still extremely hot at 5 p.m. and we were dancing around and whatnot and after their set, i vomited up the garlic fries. was not fun. definitely a mistake to eat them right before, but i've developed a taste aversion toward them.
Grilled chicken fajitas from 2010! I miss those!
Will the cool haus and kogi food trucks only be available in VIP?
wonder if Nom Nom truck will be there
om nom nom nom
Last year I told the Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich Man how bummed I was about his absence in 2010 and that his deserts made my entire weekend in 2009. He cried and gave me a free water.
Looking forward to trying the pimpshrimp truck and I would also recommend the Kogi truck. Can't go wrong with short ribs.
Spicy pie...*****, fuck atdi, and other reunions...
this year I bring my dairy pills
2001 ~ 2007 ~ 2010 ~ 2011 ~ 2012
If the fish taco place and the shrimp pimp are back, I'm set for the weekend.
the jalapeño pizza and breakyburritos. bomb.
Wanted: Gyros, Fried Mac n Cheese, Cheese Curds
Eat a Carne Asada burrito at Don Jose's taco shop in Indio before entering the venue and then get a Double Double at In-n-Out after the show. All set. Avoid buying food at the festival. You will be disappointed more times than not. If you MUST buy food at the festival, stick with a safe bet like pizza...it's really hard to mess that up.
The only bad food I've had at Coachella was a pizza in 04 and some sad ribs and a burned hockey puck burger in 05 and the breakfast buffet in 05-06 was pretty disappointing, but everything else has been good. Sounds like the food will be better than ever. All I want in addition to the stands and trucks already announced? Some amazing barbecue.
Oh, and fuck that Minute Maid frozen lemonade.
