I need to tally up everything I saw this year. Must be between 20-30...definitely my busiest year. Gonna slow down.

Late getting back to you, but..

1 - They say they are "For the fans" yet take a cut from directing people to Viagogo/Seatwave etc.

2 - They pretty much run by using interns, with the promise of something in the future that never materialises.

    ^ Damn.

I tallied about 32 so far, not counting local/friends' bands, etc. Definitely don't plan on beating this number next year...

Keane, Muse, The Who, Musink Fest, Coachella, Green Day, Paramore, Prince, Rolling Stones, Youngblood Hawke (free), Presets DJ set, Limp Bizkit, Ink-n-Iron Fest, Tom Petty, Sting, Black Flag, Robert Plant (free), Legends of the Summer, Americanarama, QOTSA, FYF, Black Sabbath, Battle for San Bernardino, Pixies, Depeche Mode, Disclosure, AFI, Reflektors in Hollywood (free), the 1975, NIN, Pearl Jam, Kanye.

the Stones show this year might've been their best ever. Better than Steel Wheels, better than Bridges to Babylon (which had Pearl Jam on the bill and, introduced the giant digital screen). This year, John Fogerty and Bonnie Raitt showed up, Mick Taylor joined in for a couple, Keith was in rare form and Mick...he's just a freak of nature. I was looking at some 50yo Stones footage (Charlie is my Darling) and his body shape looks exactly the same now as it did back then. Incredible.

I missed Muse this year but I've seen them many times and have to say that nobody beats them for overall performance...lighting, sound, etc.,...their overall concert production can't be touched. I first saw them with the Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol and Modest Mouse at a live105 Not So Silent Nights show. It was a stripped down no frills concert...and they completely stole the show.

This was my worst concert-going year in over a decade, but I have the excuse of taking care of my mom, being broke and living in an area where nothing ever happens. Hopefully next year I can rectify that.

It's been a necessity, and I can't complain after the decade I had concert-going, but it made me appreciate how much I love concerts all the more. Still hoping against hope to make Neurosis/Yob/The Body/Bl'Ast in SF on the 29th, but I find it incredibly unlikely.

right now all I've got booked is Kraftwerk in March...but honestly nobody I know is really as interested in hitting shows as I am. I should probably dial it back but it's tough with all the great music rolling through the Bay Area.

62 shows and 2 festivals. Most were in the latter half of the year when I discovered the improv scene where shows are $0-15

So, Klein, what did you think of Abe Vigoda when you saw them? I love those guys, even if they're not a band anymore. Such cool dudes.

They were good, but nothing I'd go pay to see if they're playing their own show.

Wow... that's a very impressive list!

I used to keep track during my teens and early 20s but I lost track about 10 years ago. My most active years were my early 20s where I would go on average to about 1 show per week but that's why I lost track. Now that I have 'responsibilities' a shit I have to pay for I can't go to as many show as I would like to, but moving to LA helped on that matter.

You have an impressive memory though, I can't even remember what I did last week.
