    This year: http://myyear.songkick.com/blazin/2011

    blazin

    82 concerts in 2011

    That’s 17 more than 2010
All the shows I can remember well enough to list AND can find dates for:
    http://www.songkick.com/users/blazin

Complete with reviews (mine, other SK users, and links), posters, setlists, photos, YouTube links, links to each band's other shows, etc etc. and a calendar w/tickets for upcoming shows

I'm honestly surprised nobody else here is using this site (or at least very few people.) The subject of this thread is exactly what it's for!! Or, at least, "what's in it for you," while the owners use it to make a buck off ticket commissions (at zero cost to users like me.)

    EDIT:
It also provides lots of different ways to view and sort your gig history: by band, location, venue, number of times seen or visited, chronologically, alphabetically, etc.

You can also view someone else's history in the same way, and you can view bands' histories by location, who they've played with, chronologically, etc. as well.
Comes in handy sometimes, maybe even for analyzing/predicting likelihood of Coachella appearances

And for the record, the reason I wish more people would use the site is that when people upload content, it is shared among everyone. So if I upload a YouTube (or rather, link to one) for a show, it is displayed to everyone else that went. Same with posters, photos, etc.
So it's essentially a huge worldwide public scrapbook of everyone's collective concert memories and memorabilia. The more people that contribute, even just by adding shows that may be too underground to appear automatically, the better the site becomes for everyone.
Plus, it takes all the work out of trying to list all the shows you've been to. Once you do it here, it's here to stay!

Oh yeah, it's also one of the first places you'll hear about a lot of shows, even before they show up here in the forum or on your favorite music blog. They import events from pretty much all the major ticket agencies like Ticketfly and TM, as well as lots of venues, MySpace, Windish agcy, etc, so if they are in their database, they'll show up on your Songkick dashboard. That's why they claim to have invented the site in the first place - aside from making a living - so they wouldn't keep missing out on show announcements by being too busy to pay attention.

I think the Fugees played Club Rio once. I remember going in high school with a fake id, Wednesday was college night.

Yea, I need to read fikus's list more carefully. There are a lot of shows I went to, too.

This one stood out: The Frail at Vessel, REALLY? That seems so weird, a strange venue for them. Assuming you're talking about the SF band. I've mostly seen them open for friends' bands.

Yea so I never went to alot of concerts, and the music I liked never came near me when I was in high school (Oklahoma) So I spent more time at raves. My list will be short and not very detailed.

    1996?
First concert was some festival in Tulsa, Ok. 12 bands in 12 hours kind of thing. The Highlight for me was Course of Empire, and Republica.

The first concert I was supposed to go to was The Smashing Pumpkins with Garbage opening. This was the tour where the keybordist died, and it got postponed.

I ran into Course of Empire playing at Frontier City in OKC.. sometime around 97-98 with 2wo a band that thats best feature was the soon to be Marilyn Manson band memeber John 5

    1998?
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - in Okc (sucked)
KMFDM with opener Rammstien in Tulsa, OK (awesome)

    2000?
Nine Inch Nails with A Perfect Circle in Las Vegas

2001 Coachella (Highlights Plaid, Squarepusher, Tricky, Sigur Ros)
2003 Coachella (only the second night Highlights (Underworld, RHCP, yes I left in the middle of Underworld to catch the end of RHCP)

A curious note. I have seen DJ Keoki in both Okc and Vegas, and he was awesome both times. He was in Okc promoting Ego Trip, and in Vegas for a halloween rave post Party Monster. (He dropped "Money Success Fame Glamour" it was kind of meta)

For the Club Rio show, Orbital performed in the round, which allowed my girlfriend and I the opportunity to "look over their shoulders" for a good portion of the show.

The Butthole Surfers walked offstage during their 2-3 song, because someone threw a full cup of Coca-Cola onstage, which hit Gibby in the face. The show was an all day radio festival and the crowd was totally retarded. They even lit a huge bonfire in the middle of the venue, which caused an oily black smoke to obscure a lot of what was going on. Unbeknownst to my friend and I, the smoke caused an allergic reaction with our ride's girlfriend, so they left without getting a hold of us (pre-cellphone era). Once my friend and I realized we'd been left in the desert, we got a ride from a couple of girls after we were able to convince them that they'd survive their generosity. It was easily my worst AZ concert experience

How cool. My list is actually missing quite a lot of the raves and club shows I went to while living in Tempe from '96 - '01. During this time period, I was going to ~2 raves a month and Club Pompeii almost every Thursday to see internationally touring DJs and Live acts. I saw a lot of good stuff. We picked our raves wisely and Club Pompeii used to bring in great acts. A couple of Pompeii's standouts; Richie Hawtin (live), the Progression Sessions tour w/ LTJ Bukem, MC Conrad and Nookie, and an all female Chicago House DJ tour featuring Colette, Heather, and others.

Yep, it's the same band you're thinking of. It was an early evening free show and there were like 20 people there at the time. At that time, The Frail only consisted of 2 people, the singer and the guy on the electronic gear. After their performance, we met them and they were really nice and unassuming.

    This thread is stupid funny
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."

This weekend I made a spreadsheet of the shows I've attended thru the years, it's over 200. I'll spare you all the list.

I'm jealous at all of you who saw the Daft Punk pyramid show.
