    Default It's Raining Linkin Park

Chester Bennington, 41, has died from apparent suicide:

Even though I was never a big fan of Linkin Park, I did have respect for Chester...So shocking, so tragic.

It was the first thing that popped into my head since I was literally about to share a tribute photo/post Stone Gossard posted for Cornell when my friend texted me about Chester..

    Just so twisted.

Chester Bennington has lost his mind over the past year and all the negative press and backlash from their last album dug into his depression

Say What? Yeah maybe one would be depressed when this happens to you as a child!
The singer is said to have struggled for years with alcohol and drug abuse, and has talked in the past about contemplating suicide as a result of being a victim of abuse as a child Source:http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40676530
    Rest your soul Chester Bennington.

PIZZAGATE just will not go away!

'Detroit News' investigates Chris Cornell Pizzagate conspiracy theory

Although The Detroit News notes that Washington police say that Pizzagate is “fictitious,” they then go ahead and hand the floor over to Cody. The premise of Cody's theory, based on an alleged unnamed source close to Cornell, goes like this: Cornell, who along with his wife created the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation for neglected children, was killed because he was about to expose the identities of Pizzagate pedophiles named in a "black book." >>> full article https://www.metrotimes.com/news-hits...spiracy-theory
HMMMMM...So Chris Cornell and Chester were close friends who both died by hanging??? The article above was from a couple weeks ago?

Chester was very close with Chris Cornell, who himself committed suicide by hanging in May. Today would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday. Chester wrote an open letter to Chris on the day of Chris' suicide.

Linkin Park was my first concert. Hoobastank and P.O.D. opened for them. Yikes...

    Another sad story. RIP Chester

When you think about it, he was the closest to having a "perfect" voice (in terms of big rock acts). IDK, I was never like, "Man, can Chester stop singing already?" or "I don't like the way he sounds on this track."

Never felt that way about Chester.

Their music (first three projects including Reanimation) soundtracked my early teens.

RIP and condolences to family and friends.

I'm sad that Chester lost what I'm sure was a hard-fought struggle. One thing I'm not sad about, though, was that I had Linkin Park on my side in my early teenage years. They're not a cool band to like (I've cracked plenty of jokes at their expense,) but you know what else isn't cool? Like, the entire population of fourteen-year-olds. Fourteen-year-olds are awful, including the one that was me in 2002. But they've got their own shit to get through, and guys like Linkin Park are so effective at helping teens to harness and purge that frustration, they might as well be therapists.

Damn Hybrid Theory was one of my first favorite albums I had that really shaped my middle school days. (Un)fortunatley bought the second album Meteora and didn't care for it at all and haven't really listened to them since. However always thought Chester was the most talented part of the band and. Rest your soul.

This one hurts. This was the first band I dug on my own. This wasn't one of those bands I was introduced to by an older cousin or friend. I remember their debut and Stryker on kroq cracked a joke on the way they'd spell their name. Great memories as a kid listening to hybrid theory and Meteora. I was probably in the 5th or 6th grade listening to this band during the neighborhood after school skateboard sessions. Insert linkin park was lame jokes here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I never thought of myself as Linkin Park fan, but with all the tributes the last few days I realize that they had a lot of pretty great songs.

    RIP
