I don't think I can bring myself to spend $88.50 on an Arcade Fire ticket after those perfect Coachella and Roxy experiences.

Speaking of venue insight, I discovered that the Roxy is pretty bad. The worst sightlines and floorspace to VIP douche area ratio in town. For Arcade Fire, it was okay since everyone was jumping and being wild the whole time, but I really don't want to return for a regular gig.

The seats in the stands are super tight too if you are like 5'8 or taller.

Yes, I am going to continue to be very vocal about Goldenvoice and FYF making this shithole and the Sunset Strip in general a place we have to go now. I endured going to that place for years when a several of my friends' bands played there fro M Productions shows, as well as a handful of touring acts, and I've been so happy to have not needed to for several years.

I had forgotten about how much better the El Rey is after not going to the Roxy for years

Be advised, Marymoor Park has a very early curfew. Therefore, either get there on time or do your best to be there early.

I agree, I am so glad the Roxy is no longer a "pay to play venue", unlike other past and present clubs on the Sunset Strip, like the Whiskey, and clubs from the past like the Key Club and the Coconut Teaser. I bet the Roxy is now giving the Troubadour some serious competition in that neck of the woods.

Sound wise, I'll take an outdoor venue any time over an arena. I dont care how much they've upgraded it, an arena can only sound so good. That being said, Sleep Train is pretty big so I only go there if I can pull decent tix. Id rather be floor at forum that lawn at sleep train.

Just pulled up pit (released) and sec 102 (kept) at Sleep Train from the Citicard presale. It runs until Thurs, and for this venue it's hard tix only; no paperless, no ticketfast.

I saw Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra tonight. I really enjoyed the show. It was really different from a GY!BE show but I could still hear hints of it in their music. They played for about an hour and a half and they had no visuals like at a GY!BE show, but they talked to the crowd a bunch, answered questions, and joked around on stage. It was a really enjoyable show and they played some new material tonight that sounded excellent. If you have a chance to see them then i would highly recommend that you do so.

lol. I used to love that ep! We're going back to 2004 again...

Some of you may have heard of a record we put out on Tooth & Nail Records a little while back called “Catch for us the Foxes.” Well that little while back is going to be 10 years on October 15th of this year. Yes, its hard to believe, we know, it will soon be a full decade of Foxes. It is no secret that the album has been a much-lauded fan favorite of our catalog. And in many ways it is the album that helped launched the career of our band and set us on the path where we find ourselves today. That is why for our 10 Year Anniversary of the album we are going to be celebrating in a couple different ways. The first of which we’d like to announce right now…

We will be playing “Catch for us the Foxes” in its entirety, front-to-back, from Torches Together to Son of a Widow at shows on the West Coast and South West this Summer. Joining us will be our new friends The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die and Dark Rooms.
    Here are the dates:

    mewithoutYou - 2014 Tour Dates
    Mon, 6-16 Seattle, WA @ Neumo’s
Tue, 6-17 Portland, OR @ The Hawthorne Theatre
    Thu, 6-19 San Francisco, CA @ Slim’s
Fri, 6-20 Anaheim, CA @ The Chain Reaction
Sat, 6-21 San Diego, CA @ The Epicentre
Sun, 6-22 Los Angeles, CA @ The Troubadour
Mon, 6-23 Phoenix, AZ @ The Crescent Ballroom
Wed, 6-25 Houston, TX @ Warehouse Live Studio
Thu, 6-26 Austin, TX @ Mohawk
Fri, 6-27 Dallas, TX @ The Prophet Bar

For those of you that know our band, follow us on the road, or just follow us on Instagram. You probably know that we like to change up our set pretty dramatically from night to night. So after the first 46 minutes of the set when we finish the album performance we’ll be playing a short set of various other tunes from our other albums.

We are very excited to be able to bring these performances of “Catch for us the Foxes” to you guys and we hope to add more dates later in the year, along with a couple other “special” ways to celebrate. Tickets will go on sale Friday 4/25/14.

For the NYC show, Coldplay sent an email out the night before the tickets went on sale. I'd expect the same with this show.
