Sure thing. I've only been to the Shrine once for Portishead but enjoyed my experience well enough (although it's a bit of a pain to get to); that was a GA show, though, so I'm not sure if it's any better/worse for a seated event.

That was the Expo Center though, and not the Auditorium...

I've only been to the Auditorium once, a month ago... And I was in the front pit section, so I can't really speak to the experience from the balcony and what not... but I will say the sound seemed a lot better than what I remember of the Expo center (noting that the last time I was there was over a year ago, so my points of comparison are a bit distant from each other.) I think it would be a solid venue for Nick Cave, however.

Ah, gotcha - I always manage to get the two confused. FEELS, ignore my mis-informed ramblings.

I saw Bon Iver at the Shrine from the 7th or 8th row of the first seated section back in 2011. I remember reading complaints about the place around then but I thought it was fine - seats were comfortable, view from there was good, sound was great.

Try not to sit at the top, the seats are less comfortable the higher you get.

I was there for Robert Plant. I was lucky to be sitting at the bottom of the upper level while most of my friends were way at the top. Not sure if I'd enjoy being way up there, and I'm usually fine with nosebleeds.

He had the new band with him in Austin last weekend. i didn't like the performance nearly as much as when i saw him last summer, unfortunately. I think the band is too big now - the new material was feeling very 'adult contemporary" to me.

Agreed. Washed Out were great when I saw them open for The Shins last year... their FFF set was pretty unremarkable. I heard the first two songs and thought to myself "When did Washed Out become a reggae band?"

The promoter posted this couple minutes ago. Harvey needs to come back soon

As most of you know by this time, our warehouse party with DJ Harvey this past Saturday was shut down earlier than planned by NYPD. We are extremely disappointed and we know that many of you were looking forward to an all night dance and Harvey's return to NYC.

Unfortunately, for all of us, the reality of a shutdown is part of the complexity when organizing an underground warehouse event in our city. We are not the first warehouse party to be shut down and we won't be the last.

We would love the opportunity to make it up to you. We are planning Harvey's return as soon as possible. We are committed to creating and bringing you a unique experience that you will enjoy.

For those of you who purchased advance tickets and were not admitted to the party can contact Resident Advisor for more details. They are great and want to help us make it up to you as well.

We apologize for Saturday's unexpected early ending. We promise that the next party WILL go all night.

Thank you for your support & understanding. We look forward to bringing you an even better and more exceptional event soon.

    Sincerely,
    Jason & Benny

For the last tour, they mailed them out. I've bought Sigur Ros presale tickets through Sandbag in the past and they mailed them out as well. You'll probably get your tickets 2-3 weeks before the show.

One of my very good friends is starting a new weekly in the San Gabriel Valley!

He runs a blog called Sound Color Vibration and the new weekly is happening in the city of Monterey Park at a great bar called Spirit House. Craft Beers on Tap, Outdoor Patio and Free parking in a parking structure that is next door. Located just one block east of the Garvey and Garfield intersection, based on the resident DJ's you'll probably get a good idea of the type of music you will hear! hope to see some of you out there!

Thursday November 21st is the first night!

Yep LA tickets are being mailed out. Hope you got them @ 7am....I'll wait for Brooklyn show to sell out since they'll probably add a smaller show while they're here

Thank christ they actually had all of them onsale at 7am and it wasn't just the east coast ones starting then. Wonder if they will give out pit in this sale or if it will just be "reserved".

Weird I had to make a new account though. Guess each artist's sandbag page is a different account.

I had to make an account too. But I'm in. 7am pre-sale on a site I've never used before... blah. I'm sure I won't be thinking about it come July.
