This is true. I think all of their headlining shows in LA have sold out. Can't wait to finally see them do a full set.

Moderat last night...know it's been said but damn, hope they get them at Coachella/at night this year, that was a fun show last night. Loved this woman in her mid-late 40's going absolutely nuts in the back of the pit area (she had to be on something) - and it was Mordoh-approved (you know you're at a good show if those two show up). Can't stand Club Nokia, though.

This sounds pretty cool to me. Too bad I have Empire that night.

I am still in awe of their set 24 hours later. Every song was excellent but man... That performance of Milk was fucking insane. Flawless. And one of the best live songs I have heard in a long, long time. They should have closed on that song.

The Regeneration tour at The Greek tonight was a ton of fun. Would have loved more form InSoc, but was happy to get Running, Think and Peace & Love, Inc. Howard Jones is still an amazing performer. And Andy Bell, well... I would have preferred more of his solo stuff (I really enjoyed Electric Blue as an album), but as far as him playing primarily Erasure stuff, I couldn't be too mad. I imagine if Human League were still on the bill it would have been primarily his solo stuff. Still... I was a little shocked by the lack of I Love To Hate You. Otherwise, his set was a ton of fun.

Tickets purchased for Danny Elfman! What a perfect way to spend Halloween. Hopefully there will be that haunted house down the street from Staples again.

EDIT: It will be and here is the link.

I went to the Regeneration show too. Got lucky scoring $10 tickets outside. I was surprised by how much I really enjoyed Howard Jones. Not that I was expecting to hate him, I think his hits are just fine, but I never bought any of his records growing up. At his age he sings his hits perfectly. He did a double version of Things Can Only Get Better that was a nice close to his show. His chrome keytar was pretty fancy.
Andy Bell was fun too, and was the main reason we went. I was really into Erasure as a teen so it was great to hear Drama, Stop and Chorus.
All in all, a pretty fantastic evening for $10.

Have to say though... rewatching the video from the last time I saw InSoc.. (Video = It Is Useless to Resist Us from the 2008 Trocadero show in Philly. Shitty Openers that night, but InSoc were fucking fantastic at that show) So much better. Kurt's voice seemed a bit off tonight. And I will forgive him on Burning Bridges, since that wasn't his track originally. If they were going to play something off of Synthesizer, they should have either done "Seeds of Pain", since he sang on that, or I like the Way you Werk it. Either would have been better than Burning Bridges.

I was just reading about that. I wonder if that's going to have an impact on the rest of the tour.

"There is a long history of asking African-Americans to endure racism silently; it’s characterized as grace, as strength. Chappelle’s Connecticut audience, made up of largely young White males, demanded a shuck and jive. Men who seemed to have missed the fine satire of the Chappelle show demanded he do characters who, out of the context of the show look more like more racist tropes, than mockery of America’s belief in them."

Chappelle didn't have a melt down. He didn't perform for hecklers 2 nights ago then killed in Pittsburgh last night.

Instead of letting the man perform the crowd decided to be entitled shit heads and shout jokes that are a decade old. Good on Chappelle.

I would be upset, sure. But I would absolutely understand where Chappele was coming from. Guy has paid his dues and doesn't need to put up with that kind of disrespect.

Fair enough. I sort of agree with that, but it's also totally unprofessional to fuck over a whole crowd because of a few assholes.

If you don't know a god damn thing about the acts playing, or have an appreciation for comedy in general, and seem to think it's not going to be your crowd... Why not just stay home that day? The rest of us will thank you. Festival Supreme doesn't need another concert junkie just showing up to mark it down in their diary. In other words, I will be there. I will also be drinking. Stay very far away from this event if you want to have fun that day.
