Timberlake has to wait to announce the major city tour stops due to Legends of The Summer. They probably announce after the final date.

Did any of you check out his release as Loops of Your Heart last year? Maybe he's doing stuff from that album. I realize it's not entirely beat-free, but it's much more ethereal than his stuff as The Field and could work well with some video accompaniment.

Ahh...I forgot that Loops of My Heart was his side project. Mostly because I found that album forgettable.

Slightly more info on The Field:

As of now, Axel Willner (aka The Field) is busy at work in his Berlin studio, and is thus taking a break from touring with the band. During this time, he has expressed an interest to perform his solo, ambient live show for select events. Using an array of analogue electronics, its a performance best suited to concert halls and seated venues, and a rare chance to intimately experience his experiments in the hypnotic arts.

Where possible, the show will be accompanied by a visual set, created by photographer and artist Sonia Alvarez. A long term collaborator with Axel (you will find her images in all his album sleeves), the pair have been exploring and developing the relationship between their work to greater depths. The result is a completely immersive sensory experience, unburdened by stylistic boundaries or functional responsibility, intuition becomes the only guide. The artist is free to take any direction, and you are free to join the journey.

Axel has done this performance only a few times. The first was for Kompakt’s pop-ambient event at London’s Southbank Centre in 2011, receiving unanimous praise, followed by a glowing reception at Bylarm Festival in Norway earlier this year, and September saw a sold-out Hackney Empire show in London alongside Murcof. The show will remain equally rare in 2013, so if you have a suitable event or venue for such a performance as this, put it on your ‘to do’ list for 2013 now!

I wouldn't worry about it. Based on the time I saw him, I wouldn't go either. It was a terrible, terrible show. The only thing that saved it was that Tricky was so fucked up and out of it that it became an absurd comedy of sorts.

Found this on twitter. The other band is Phoenix and the date is June 21st -- but that's a hell of a lot more than what I'd remember if I saw a poster while driving, so thanks for the tip.

Now how do I get in, if this is true, whatever this is?

A/V stands for audio/video (or visual). This means it will be a live set with background visuals that more than likely will be specifically tailored to what's going on sonically.

oh I know what A/V stands for. I just thought it was weird that they were describing the Field in that manner. Ambient also threw me off, I want to dance at a Field show, not stand around. Sigh, I guess I'll wait until the next show.
