I went to Staples Center all by my lonesome because none of my friends wanted to spend $85. Find some dude out front and tell him I have a GA Pit, show him the email printout and tell him I will sell it to him for $300. He counts out a stack of twenties and I am trying to get him to be discrete about it. Getting into this massively disorganized line. Finally get the tickets. Open the envelope. Sec 306. Uh oh, no time to argue as we are hustled into the arena and I hand him his ticket. He doesn't even look at it. Inside he heads toward wristband lady. I try to figure out how to avoid this dude when I disappear into the arena. I realize in the chaos at the door no one ever even scanned my ticket. I go back outside, sell it for $120. Run into my former guitar player who is always having girlfriend drama. She "broke up" with him when the postponed date conflicted with "date night" and he decided he still wanted to see the Stones. He has an extra $85 and even has someone saving his place in line why he tries to figure out how to sell it. He is afraid of getting popped or scammed but his spot in line is about to disappear into the building. Give him $85, we hop in near the front of the line. Pulls Sec 107. Much better. Can't wait to see how this all plays out in future shows.
