Also just checked, both shows (CWK and Power Forward) were in the Theater with almost the same starting time.

Didnt Moviebruin clarify that Power Forward ended up in the bar? Still though. Why the fuck are you charging $100 for Cold War Kids when they announced it officially and it was $25?

"Power Forward" is just a place holder until they can announce who the secret guest is. At which time the price will drop to respectable levels. Think CWK was 15 bucks? Lets hope its a better secret guest this time around...

Did he clarify that it wasn't Cold War Kids? I can't find information on it having been anything else.

EDIT: so it seems the bar/theater distinction doesn't matter.

For $500 it better be a better secret guest. I can't believe it's sold out, what idiot would blindly pay that.

No, what he's saying is the price and "sold out" doesn't matter. Last time they just changed the name and price and put tickets on sale when it was time to actually announce the band. So basically, this just means keep that date in mind and keep and eye out.

Right I get that, but the fact remains that earlier today Power Forward wasn't sold out, and now it is. I got to a purchase page earlier, obviously didn't buy it though. *Someone* paid 500.

Last time some people actually paid 100 for the Power Forward tickets, and I imagine most or all of them ended up feeling extremely ripped off when they found out what the show was and how much it cost.

If they wanted to put a complete placeholder on the band then they should just have a future on sale date for the tickets.

High school sophomores that were into Wavves first album should be 21, now.

How to Destroy Angels were insanely good tonight. If the Stone Roses are mediocre for even one second, I'm gonna go hurry over to the Mojave to watch it again. Ridiculous visuals. Mariqueen silenced all of the haters tonight. She did what she did very well.

The Stone Roses will be incredible. Just don't expect Ian Brown to sing on pitch. If he does, that, in of itself, will be a miracle. But Stone Roses songs are truly great. I'll look for ya there!

Yeah, same plan for me. The show last night was pretty insane! I loved the visuals. The show was an experience that should not be missed, considering this may be the only time they tour.

The only drawback was the crowd. Really, really terrible for the first half. You could tell a ton of people were expecting this to be aggro-Trent-NIN music. Just what I experienced directly around me: A couple of failed attempts at moshing, fangirl screaming every time Trent made a noise into his mic, incessant chatting during softer songs, and people complaining "Not her again!" when Mariqueen was singing. Luckily, the shitheads left midway through the set or started playing with their phones. So be aware. The crowds at Coachella might be horrible for this one.

On a more positive note, it was great meeting ragepatton and sonofhal last night. Hope to see you this weekend and have more time to chat!

I went last night (modest mouse). Lots of technical difficulties for Isaac, especially guitar related. Hurt the flow of the show IMO. And damn, that theater is beautiful, but I swear every show I see there has sound issues. They need to figure that shit out ASAP. Also, how long has the 2 drummer thing been going on?

It seemed like the encore was the first time where everything was COMPLETELY dialed in and it destroyed. Def reassured me to go see them weekend 2.

They've been playing with two drummers since "Good News" days. Jeremiah (original drummer) left the band for a little bit so they got another drummer. But Jeremiah came back and Joe Plummer (who also plays with the Shins) joined the band as one of two drummers around that time. But I think Joe is taking a break from Modest Mouse and doing gigs with the Shins instead. Bummer
