That's in Santa Ana, yes? Ever been? Not that venue matters too much to me. I won't be missing APTBS again if I can help it.

Yep, Santa Ana. Never been. They mainly house electro-dj stuff these days it seems.

It looks like their appearance is actually part of something called Psycho de Mayo.

A very small place.. and the sound was pretty bad, for Pendulums standards.. but the theater itself was quite nice, & seemed to be made for plays -_-

The person throwing it is a friend of mine.... Runs 'Thief', which does a series of psychedelic shows through out the year at various locations. He's built a pretty solid relationship w/ a lot of the bands that fit in this genre, doing visuals on the road as well as hosting the events when theyre in town. Dagha Bloom is my old band, used to be 'The Living Suns'
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)

The pit area is the floor mostly out of frame to the left...

Most of the time I've gone its been all GA and you have to get there early to get in the pit section... otherwise you can't go further than that first railing... What's more obnoxious though is that I've never been to a show where they break tickets down by floor vs balcony (as far as I know they never do that...)... so its very well possible for you to be stuck up in the seating on the balcony.

Either way, if pit tickets are available they are always the best look there... It's about the only way I don't absolutely hate the venue. (overall, I'd say it's one of, if not THE, worst major venues in LA)
Damn. Sounds like you can just jump over that railing though no? Never seen a venue like this. I would hate to pay extra $$$ just because you're going to be little closer to the stage!

And Spooks, fuck you SO HARD. That set list is incredible, those guests are great, what a choice of covers. I really, really wish I was there. Seriously, go count your dick.
We wound up being clobbered with a setlist and guest lineup worthy of an alt/indie-rock uber fanís wet dream: Lee Ranaldo and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, Frank Black from the Pixies, Johnny Marr of The Smiths, Dale Crover from the Melvins, Tommy Stinson of The Replacements, Kyle Spence from Harvey Milk, Kurt Vile, Al Cisneros from Sleep, Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, Suzanne Thorpe of Mercury Rev, Don Fleming, Dante Ferrando, John Petkovic and Fred Armisen. On a night with more highlights and jaw-dropping performances than one can count, there was a wonderful interplay between all the artists and a realization by the crowd that this concert was to be savored. Thank you J, Lou and Murph for the awesome holiday gift you honored us with. It was an extraordinary way to begin drawing this year to a close.

Hell yes. Negative Approach still kill it so hard live. I saw them at FYF back in 08(?) and the whole of the Echoplex was a tornado of bodies. Fucked Up played right after them and seemed tame in comparison.

Saw Metric last night at the Fox Theater, and they sucked. They didn't have any energy, looked bored. They completely phoned in the performance. They only played 14 songs, and about an hour and 15 minutes. New songs are fine on the record, and eventually grew on me, but the new songs are a snooze fest live. Also no Monster Hospital, and metric should not be doing acoustic songs. One of the worst shows I've been to all year.
