Such a great show! So glad I had my earplugs because, damn it was loud.

The Joy Formidable were loud when they played the Mayan earlier this year with APTBS. Good to see everyone had a Great time! The Troubadour is such a tiny place for that big rock sound they have.

Zach, I didn't go to the show last night. I don't think they could fit that light house they had at the Mayan show at the troub.

    UR1 Festival Postponement Announcement

It is with deep regret that we announce the postponement of the first annual UR1 Music & Art Festival due to circumstances beyond our control, including:

    - Foreseeable inclement weather conditions in the Miami-Dade and South Florida region;
    - Continued effects of the recent Hurricane Sandy.

In consideration of these and other factors including the safety and wellbeing of our fans and performing artists we have come to this tough decision. Understandably this has had an ancillary effect on ticket sales and business logistics. It has always been our mission to produce events of the utmost quality and safety.

The new dates for the UR1 Music & Art Festival will be announced shortly. New dates will be chosen when weather conditions satisfy the safety of our fans, artists and staff. Once the dates are released you may chose to retain your ticket, as we will accept it at the festival. Alternatively should you choose to be refunded, information and instructions on how to do so can be found at www.ur1festival.com/tickets. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We would also like to inform you that we are making every effort to showcase some of the talent that was scheduled to perform and exhibit at the festival in various locations around Miami. For those of you who would like to join us and the talent that will continue on to be showcased pending forthcoming dates to be announced, UR1 Ticket holders will have the opportunity to use their festival ticket at events around Miami during Basel week. A list of events accepting UR1 Tickets & Vouchers will soon be listed at www.ur1festival.com

    Sincerely,

The UR1 Music & Art Festival Family

I saw Metz at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn a couple days ago and I loved it. The only problem was that it was so fucking short at just barely 35 minutes. Hopefully they write some new material soon so they have some more songs to play at their gigs.

I really highly doubt it, but that'd be such a coup for them, and punk rock.

I remember speaking to Alex and Hayden from Metz at their show at the Constellation Room. They hadn't been contacted regarding Coachella they said but would be back around May I think.

    Rough Trade East In-store - FABER SOCIAL PRESENTS... BECK'S SONG READER - Monday 3rd December, 7pm 03/12/2012

We have 150 limited copies of Song Reader, signed by Beck himself, available to pre-order exclusively from Rough Trade.

Pre-Order 'Song Reader - exclusively signed by Beck' here

Faber Social presents Beck's Song Reader

Earlier this year, Beck Hansen sent an extraordinary message to the music world when he announced his new album, Song Reader, would be released not on vinyl, cd or as an an MP3, but as unrecorded sheet music. To hear the new Beck album, you would quite simply have to pick up an instrument and learn the songs yourselves.

Faber Social in association with Heavenly Music Services and Rough Trade East are proud to bring you the UK premiere album playback of selected titles from Song Reader. Ed Harcourt will lead a specially put together band of singers, including Liverpool's Stealing Sheep, Steve Mason (of The Beta Band), Liela Moss (of Duke Spirit) Megan Washington, ex-Libertine Carl Barat and special guests to be confirmed for an evening of music, dj-ing and conversation dedicated to this unique project.
