Mike, it was my third time seeing them (all this year btw). It was another fantastic show. I thought the sound was better than their echoplex show they did earlier this year. They still have the same set up with the fog machines + projectors shooting light from all different directions. The venue was about 60% full so there was space to move around which is nice. But it was one of those shows that reinforce how awesome their live shows are. They are not to missed live. It was also a Great way to celebrate election night since the result was announced so early. Here's a short clip i shot,

Any idea who's promoting it? That makes all the difference for me with that place. (Good space, shitty sound.. unless it's promoted by someone who will bring in their own)

Woohoo I just got 2nd row tickets!!! Love him for doing this

Louis C.K. is taking a break from his nationwide tour to headline two comedy shows held to raise money for Hurricane Sandy relief.

The events will take place on November 17 at the St. George Theatre, with other comedians expected to jump on board as well. A batch of 250 “first-tier” tickets will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with 500 more selling for $90 and another 500 selling for $45. An additional 500 tickets will be given as gifts to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The benefit will serve the Staten Island area. This news comes a week and a half after C.K. decided to postpone his planned New York show, which was supposed to happen on October 28, back until March 2. Though it’s a bummer that it was pushed back so far, C.K. said he wanted to delay it for the safety of those in the soon-to-be Hurricane-wracked city.

LVbKt.jpg Japandroids were pretty incredible last night. The sound the two produced together was astounding. Everyone was really into it singing along to songs new and old. Met Gary Tovar last night who was jamming out to bleached! Pretty cool

Dont forget that Gary mentioned doing GV31 1/2 in the summer at the shrine expo. That should be excellent like Gv30 was.

Japandroids were totally on point giving it their all. Took me a minute to get use to the guitar playing vs how the albums sound but after that I was totally rocking out with them like it was the last show of my life. Played every single song from both of their records, one I had never heard that was pre-post nothing and their Mcclucky cover. Larger than life music.

And, Bleached are awesome. Those girls are really fucking great. Can't wait to get a full release from. They played for about 30 minutes including the 6 songs from their three singles, a Ramones cover (wish I could remember which one specifically), and a bunch of new ones.

Edit: Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World. DUH. Couldnt think. Fit in with their set perfectly. Thanks Drinkey for sending me their music a month ago.

Yeah, Japandroids were good fun last night. I caught a drumstick at the end which was cool. The Fonda seemed more empty than I anticipated it would be, but that is probably due to the Titus show being on the same evening.
