This should be an interesting show. At the same venue back in 2010, Jeff played Neutral Milk Hotel songs for the first time in 9 years at Chris Knox benefit show with The Clean and Yo La Tengo. Good times!

It's been over a year since Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum made his surprise appearance at Zuccotti Park in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Now, on November 15, a stream of Occupy energy will filter into a "telethon" held at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge, featuring Mangum, Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, Guy Picciotto of Fugazi, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, Janeane Garofalo, and more.

The event, "The People's Bailout", will aim to raise $50,000 for the Occupy-affiliated organization Strike Debt. It will be webcast at Rolling Jubilee, with the option for those at home to digitally donate, like a traditional telethon. Also appearing will be Hedwig and the Angry Inch creator John Cameron Mitchell, "Daily Show" co-creator Lizz Winstead, professor and author Frances Fox Piven, comedians Max Silvestri and Hari Kondabolu, "Get Your War On" creator David Rees, and more. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 2 at 10 a.m.

Think about it. Huge asian demographic in orange county, and they got money to boot. Do not be all ''holy fuck, it sold out!'' later.

Yes, there are a lot of Koreans in Southern California that genuinely love him and have been following him for several albums. A lot of Korean stars don't have the backing for big US tours, so this is a big treat for them too. Plus, he's getting a lot of Top 40 commercial radio play, and that'll be more long-lasting than people think.

It will be interesting to see if he can bring some other big K-pop names to come play support.

$300? This sounds like a show what will have a groupon deal in the future...

Goddamnit you guys. I don't know what to do. Fuck real life conflicts.

    November 10th

Titus Andronicus @ the Irenic - 15 dollars

...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead @ the Casbah - 20 dollars

Japandroids @ Porter's Pub in La Jolla - 16 dollars

What do i doooooo? I've seen Titus and ToD before (Titus multiple times). Never seen Japandroids but apparently they are rumored for chella... I would like to just catch them there probably...

Never been to any of the venues either...

What do you guys think? Let's have a vote.

It really sucks Titus and Japandroids toured around the same time this year. It seems like they're both playing the same night in the same city alot

LA people: do Japandroids and go see Titus down in Santa Ana the day after. If there are a few people who want to do that and want to carpool, I'd be down.

And Ods, do Titus. ToD's new one is good but they're not as wild as they used to be, and Titus has been playing huge sets recently. Japandroids kick it live but you'll have tons of chances to see them soon (admittedly, same with Titus, but I like them better.)

Yeah I'm leaning that way as well. Titus is in their prime while ToD is a bit burnt out. I am loving their new one though...

I'll be doing Japandroids/Bleached at the Fonda, and then Titus/Ceremony/Metz the next night in Santa Ana. Though I'm more centrally located to get to both easily. Listen to bmack people LA friends.

ods, how is the drive to santa ana if youre still SD located? prob a little over an hour and with that triple bill it'd be worth the drive and removing a conflict.
