For some shows dont they actually sell pit tickets so you dont have to get there early?

    no..

shows listed as being at the Observatory are in the main room (capacity of right around 1,000)
shows listed as being at the Constellation Room are in the small secondary room (capacity 2-300)

They did yesterday for Odd Future, it isn't guaranteed that every show willl have pit tickets though.

Sidenote on shows at the Observatory since they are booking good names and people actually want to go there..

parking is free on the observatory lot, and there is also a front lot that isn't advertised always that you are allowed to park in for free (directly in line with the marquee at the main entrance off Harbor.) They have signs that advertise $10 parking which is in an industrial lot near the Observatory, but usually you shouldn't have to mess with that so don't be tricked!

They sell tickets at the door usually with no door fee, and they allow you to pay Credit/Debit for tickets at the door as well. They give you an actual hard ticket as well for door ticket purchases which is pretty cool.

What kind of ear plugs do you use? I would imagine you need some heavy duty ones with all of the shows you see.

I've only ever used plugs for MBV - and that was only for the holocaust segment.

Do music-related book signings count? If so, I've got Pete Townshend (October 9) and John Taylor (October 16) on the horizon.

Agreed x3. And it is never too late to start wearing them and help save whatever is left of your hearing.

Between Swans and A Place to Bury Strangers this year, I may well have permanently lost hearing if I didn't have plugs in. I never go without. Plenty of good, cheap solutions out there if you can't afford custom.

Back on topic- Peter Gabriel this weekend at the Bowl! Cannot wait. Down in the Garden Boxes with friends.

Is there anyway to avoid the TM fee's for The Faint show at The Fonda? I really don't feel like paying the amount of an extra ticket in fees on a pair of tickets.

Despite the rumor mill churning for the past few days regarding a long-awaited Smiths reunion, Morrissey’s publicist (in addition to Johnny Marr's manager) squashed the hopes of fans who were hoping that the time had finally come for the Manchester-natives to put asides their differences once and for all.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, the nameless couldn’t have been any clearer when he said, "The Smiths are never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to reunite – ever."

When asked why this was the case, the rep said: "You'd have to ask Morrissey that. There's got to be a story there, and maybe one day it will be told."

There you have it, folks. Unless Morrissey says otherwise, any talk of a Smiths reunion will be exactly that: talk.
