Shit! I heard this band is popular too. Should I listen to them? Supposedly they're coming out with a new album in November!

This trailer is giving me chills!

The song that was released for the Avengers was so underwhelming/disappointing/bland/flat-out bad that i do not have high hopes for that. I'd love to be wrong though.

Is anybody else going to the Firewater show at the Bootleg Bar a week from Friday? I've been a fan of theirs (and Cop Shoot Cop, and Balkan Beat Box) for a long, long time, but their newer music is not nearly as acerbic as the early stuff, really broad stuff. I'd say their latest album is 1/3 good songs, 1/3 forgettable songs, and 1/3 Jimmy Buffetry. Losing Tamir Muskat and Ori Kaplan to Balkan Beat Box leaves the music a little directionless, in my opinion, even though Tamir mixed this album.

If anyone is confused or intrigued, you can listen to their new album streamed free here: http://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/a...al-orange.html

If you have no idea who Cop Shoot Cop, Firewater, and Balkan Beat Box are... sorry about that. You might have missed something good.

Those December dates don't bode well of Almost Acoustic XMas. I'd say Green Day is the more likely candidate at this point.

Ticket page says cocktails will be served at 8pm, I wonder if that means they're included (at least for that cocktail hour)? It also says dress attire is encouraged, which seems hilarious for a Melvins show.

Saw PrettyLights and djShadow in the Shrine in LA Saturday, his new setup is mind blowing. Shadow threw down as well, but Derek freaking killed it. I know it won't happen but a aftersunset set on the Outdoor (ala Crystal Castles 2011) would be legendary.
