Not too short but there are some that are. The last full tour shows in 2010 were getting past 3 hours many nights and sometime they don't even look tired. The energy throughout the whole show is some of the highest I've seen from any band live.

That setlist is bonkers too. Nothing to slow down on much except blvd of broken dreams and wake me up when sept ends towards the end of the show.

Yup. Because Green Day is one of the best live bands ever. $75 for Green Day is no big deal for an amazing 3 hour rock show. I'd rather pay double that than see an average show for $30.

Adam Ant was pretty entertaining and had a decent amount of people dressed for the show. While other songs I liked from him I was kinda disappointed with Physical (You're so) .

Sure if I really wanna be there and it is a good seat would not think twice about it. I mean I travel a fair amount for shows and the cost of concert ticket, airfare and hotel etc is often significantly more than that.

    You were at Adam Ant???

I thought the girl singer was pretty to look at but lacking in vocal skill. Also, the sound was horrendous. There was a whistling feedback that whoever was manning the soundboard could not seem to catch up with. And where the hell was the ac in that damn place?? Overall the performance felt like a bit of a hodgepodge and pretty raw. Best song was Desperate But Not Serious. And I happily waited it out for Prince Charming and wasn't disappointed. Good show thanks to Adam Ant- he came to play.

Thanks for the reviews thus far for Byrne/St Vincent. Any Talking Heads fans should check this 1980 show out if you haven't already and I know you probably have because this place is this place and I'm just a mile behind the ball so please relax supre kthx

I wouldn't see them for $150 a ticket, personally, and they are one of my favorite bands and have given me my best concert of my life. But I like a lot of other things that would be way cheaper than that. $75~ is fine but anymore is going to high. Again though, amazing live band. I can understand not being into all of their material (new vs old yada yada) but they play a lot of something for absolutely everyone.

One this I would say is that if you get tired of crowd involvement chants and clapping and things like that, think call and response eeeeyyyyyyy oooohhhsss, you may grow tired of their show. But if you into there is not a better time.

The song that was released for the Avengers was so underwhelming/disappointing/bland/flat-out bad that i do not have high hopes for that. I'd love to be wrong though.

Is anybody else going to the Firewater show at the Bootleg Bar a week from Friday? I've been a fan of theirs (and Cop Shoot Cop, and Balkan Beat Box) for a long, long time, but their newer music is not nearly as acerbic as the early stuff, really broad stuff. I'd say their latest album is 1/3 good songs, 1/3 forgettable songs, and 1/3 Jimmy Buffetry. Losing Tamir Muskat and Ori Kaplan to Balkan Beat Box leaves the music a little directionless, in my opinion, even though Tamir mixed this album.

If anyone is confused or intrigued, you can listen to their new album streamed free here: http://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/a...al-orange.html

If you have no idea who Cop Shoot Cop, Firewater, and Balkan Beat Box are... sorry about that. You might have missed something good.
