Both nights of Slowdive is a dream come true. Pulled pretty much the same spot as i did for the first night.

I know this Erasure tour is old news, but they just announced the openers for the tour.

The show appears to be extremely undersold at this point. It looks like they have only sold a couple hundred tickets. GA is still available and they still haven't started selling upper level tickets and even the outer sections on the lower level are all greyed out. I am guessing this show will get canceled or moved to a smaller venue.

I'd never listened to Nick Cave or even heard of him before Push the Sky Away came out, and I missed Sunday at Coachella last year when he played, but after seeing him last night in Austin I can attest that he is one of the best rock performers of all time. If you still have a chance to see him on this tour, DO IT. He is completely enchanting.

Also saw Beyonce & JayZ on Friday in Houston. What a production. JayZ is great but I think even he knows that it's the Beyonce show and he's just along for the ride. She is truly the next Michael Jackson. I don't know anyone who can hold a crowd in the palm of their hand with a mere look like she can. She's electricity in a bottle. She does look like she's getting a little tired but still kicked ass. Highly recommend the show. It flowed really well and not a moment was wasted. Young Forever/Halo to end was magical.

I have seen that shithole completely empty for much bigger bands, it probably has a lot to do with the venue and the city.

I thought it was a fitting sized crowd. First time I've been to the glasshouse...I was pleasantly surprised by the decent sound system.

Pulled tickets for Slowdive at the Warfield. So excited Low are opening as I've never seen them. I had tickets to see them at the Brickhouse in Phoenix when that was a thing but the show was canceled.

We were at the show as well and agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly. Considering the ordeal we went through to get there -- we live in Phoenix and it basically took us 12 hours to just get into Austin; got bumped from 3 flights and had to take a 3+-hour Megabus ride from Dallas to Austin -- and the unfamiliarity we had with some of the songs in the set, the fact that we enjoyed the show as much as we did and considered it worth the hassle was a testament to what a fucking awesome act the Bad Seeds are. I started thinking about who else could compete with Nick Cave in regards to being the best frontman ever. It was like a religious experience for the people in the pit and I was jealous that we weren't among them. I got chills during "Jubilee Street" and the only misstep I would say they took is playing 4 slow songs in a row during the middle portion, though I understand why that was necessary to help Nick maintain his energy for the rest of the set. The motherfucker gives it his all.

Yes. Glad you found all the hassle worth the trip. I actually really enjoyed the slow middle section with the piano and what seemed to be requests. Great crowd that actually was quiet and paid attention! The only comparison I can think of is Springsteen for pure engagement.

I really hope this isn't some free RSVP bullshit. If it's a normal show, wonder who the promoter is since LN, AEG and Spaceland all have other downtown venues now.

And apparently the "lottery" to purchase tickets for the show is open between now and Monday 1200 BST. Notification as to whether or not you get to purchase the tickets by Wednesday. Ticket agency is See Tickets... which... fuck i still have nightmares of how they screwed up my bank account with the Kylie pre-sale a couple years ago.

Haha, lottery. I wonder if the Tower will ever be used for a traditional gig? I was so miserable during that Glass Candy show due to the venue's problems and the crowd, but Glass Candy really saved the day and were on an entirely different level than the other times I saw them.

It turned off a lot of people and they ended up just selling tickets regularly after about a week.
