Cut Copy were incredible tonight. Closest I've seen to their 2011 Mojave set. They also "jammed" a bit. Great hearing them tweak their guitar work which I hadn't seen previously. Stubb's started blasting "Someone to Lean On" as we were exiting and the entire crowd sang along. Really fun night.

    Courtney Barnett - 6/5 - The Mohawk
The Avett Brothers/Old Crow Medicine Show - 6/27 - Whitewater Amphitheater
    Death Grips - 7/18 - The Mohawk
    Kraftwerk - 9/25 - Bass Concert Hall

Great to hear, they're at the top of my OSL list this year. Missing them in 11 is one of my biggest Coachella regrets.

I'm also excited to see Cut//Copy at OSL, of the 5 times I've seen them since '08, OSL will be the first time outdoors. Though, it's a shame Far Away gets cut for Festival sets.

That Mojave set was fucking magic. I wasn't even big on them at the time, I just stumbled unto that set. Still one of the best sets I've seen on the fields.

Indeed, the crowd was amazing which led to an amplified great mood for everyone. It was really hot but well worth it, haven't had that much sweat since.. their 2011 Mojave set

Yessss. We were standing next to the soundboard/projector which was literally blowing extremely hot air in our faces the entire time. Whatever, though. Just made us dance harder. =)

Are you in based in Austin, Mr. Trent?

I'm based in Houston since a year ago so the Austin roadtrip has become part of a ritual to catch some of the bands. I went with a friend for Saturday night only and stayed at the firehouse hostel, it was an amazing night all around!

I haven't seen ST in 20 years. Loved the shit out of them in the late 80s/early 90s but after the disaster that was "Sucidal For Life" I haven't really paid any attention to them. Every so often I see their name on a bill and wonder... are they worth seeing again? Or is it just a recipe for disappointment?

heard Suicidal Tendencies were great at Ink N Iron earlier this month. I went Saturday for Buzzcocks, Fear and The Damned (ALL FANTASTIC!) but didn't go back Sunday (ST headliner), though my friends did and said I really missed out.

They were fine when I saw them open for Slayer a few months ago, though I don't think I'd pay to see their own gig unless they were playing all of their first album.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.

I mean, I'd take that... but Lights... Camera... Revolution in it's entirety, with Robert Trujillo back on bass would be the dream!
