I am not very stoked about free shows since they are first come first served. They should just do $5 and then you won't have to get there early and stand in line.

Also, I am extremely excited about the Erasure I was so bummed on the timing of the last one. When I saw them in 2004 or 2005 at Avalon, it was one of the best shows I had ever seen.

So Elbow wasn't half bad and I kinda of liked it .Most of mellow songs were muttered and I never heard the songs before so it's kinda hard for me to follow lyrically yet the band was really good. Certain songs that took off were what I could tell might be why a lot of people like Elbow. The strings add a lot to their sound. Before the encore the singer said they wouldn't do a encore unless the crowd would sing to them which Flambottom girl was chosen by a audience memeber and the band with the audience practiced. ..too bad the audience didn't sing it for encore I Would of been Shocked If it Had Happen THAT way.Regardless the band did come out for two songs as the encore. One thing that bothered me was how much crowd participation the singer kept asking for.

Liars were enjoyable last night, and closing with "Broken Witch" was a fantastically spastic way to end their set. Where was Julian Gross, though?

He's injured but the other drummer did well for the most part I thought...

Dave Chappelle just took over NYC in June!

Dave Chaeppe 6-18-6/22 Sold Out Radio City Music Hall

Dave Chappelle & The Roots w/a Full Orchestra 6/24 Radio City Music Hall

Dave Chappelle, Busta Rhymes, DJ Premier and Janelle Monae w/a Full Orchestra 6/25 Radio City Music Hall

Dave Chappelle & Erykah Badu w/a full orchestra 6/26 Radio City Music Hall

After selling out five consecutive comedy shows within minutes of announcement, Dave Chappelle and Live Nation have added three additional shows to feature Chappelle along with several music guests playing with a full orchestra, June 24th through 26th, at Radio City Music Hall.

For these shows, Chappelle will combine his greatest love, stand-up comedy with his second love, music. The connection between improvisation and timing will be on full display as Chappelle co-headlines with a special musical guest each night, including The Roots, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monáe, DJ Premier and more to be announced. A full orchestra will enhance the concert experience.

As Chappelle approaches the 10th Anniversary of his concert movie Block Party, filmed in 2004, in Brooklyn, this run of shows at Radio City are Chappelle’s first announced NYC engagement in over 10 years.
After coming back from Movement, this is just too much to handle!

Panda Bear can be really hit/miss live - I didn't like his show a few years ago at FYF since it sounded like he was playing 3 songs at the same time, but last nite's show was more cohesive and I really enjoyed it. The new material made up 90% of the show and it was very danceable for the most part. Really looking forward to the new album, especially "Dark Cloud" and "Can't Go Back".

Yeah. This was my first time (finally!) seeing him, and I thought it was really good. Visuals were very alcohol-friendly. If I were to guess based on how these songs sound, I'd say the new album might be better than Tomboy, which sorta lost me in the second half, but surely not better than Person Pitch.

Gonna try to make all four of these X shows:

X will play four nights at the Roxy in West Hollywood in July during which the veteran L.A. punk band will play each of its first four albums in their entirety on successive nights.

Starting July 10, X will play “Los Angeles,” followed by “Wild Gift” on July 11, “Under the Big Black Sun” on July 12 and “More Fun in the New World” on July 13. The group's albums helped define West Coast punk rock in the 1980s.

Each night’s performance is expected to run about one hour. Some of the songs among those four albums have never been played live, and band members will present them on instruments they rarely use in concert, including guitarist Billy Zoom playing sax and drummer D.J. Bonebrake on vibes.

Tickets on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

I saw Panda Bear at Pappy and Harriet's. The new tracks are kaleidoscopic - they'll make you a little dizzy. Tomboy is pretty, but it also makes you scratch your head much of the time... This stuff is a return to form. I hope it sounds as good on the album.

Audience was super-hipstery... Lots of funny mustaches and cowboy hats and feather necklaces. But the crowd was good, and really into the music. The cheers for the encore were ferocious.

We stayed at the Pioneertown motel overnight so we could get drunk... It's the best way to do P&H.
