Ah yes, Drinkey - Kung Fu is my JAM! So's Jack Names the Planets.
Yes they were! I was there that night in the mad-for-it pit, second row, taking turns getting smothered and smothering those around me. Broke my sunglasses while thrashing around like a madman and I was never happier about breaking something.

Eels were really good tonight. Souljacker Part I! I wasn't familiar with the song going into the show, one of the best things I've seen live this year so far.

Soo, my show tonight moved from the El Rey to the bootleg theater. Never been before. What's it like? Any reviews?
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Spamalot (7/31), HARD (8/1) 2001 Space Odyssey with LA Phil (8/12), Opeth (10/18), TOOL (10/31), Coachella 2016 (WK1), David Gilmour (Wherever I need to go)
Some people seem to really hate it, the only problem I've ever had was overzealous security. They have the best beer selection (and best prices) of any venue in LA. Parking can be a bit of a struggle in the neighborhood since there are so many people who live there and I wouldn't necessarily recommend parking too far down a side street if you're not familiar with the Rampart/MacArthur Park neighborhood, as it can be pretty sketchy at times. They have a lot across the street that used to be free, but I think they charge for it now. I've always had decent sound, and they have a cool outdoor patio in the back where you can hang between sets that is usually less crowded than inside.

Going to the NME awards next week. A night of people I mostly don't care about being awarded for being mediocre. At least Pulp played live last year. Knowing my luck, I'll probably get Jake Bugg or Alt-J.

Soundgarden was the definition of rock and roll last night. Such a talented group of guys. Chris sounded amazing, and every one was in top form. The setlist was perfection imo, and seeing one of my favorite bands in one of my favorite venues was just really special. Closing the sets with 4th of July and Slaves and Bulldozers respectively and the immense noise that followed each of them was pretty hectic. Definitely one of the best shows I've seen. Gonna be hard to beat forsure.
Also, Id like to thank everyone who gave me the heads up about tickets being released!!!
Maybe this was posted somewhere already....but for those who haven't seen it.
This seems like a ploy by Goldenvoice (a subsidiary of AEG, the company that owns Staples) to get on Morrissey's good side to increase the impossible chances of a Smiths reunion....
We already know that GV has previously offered Morrissey a vegetarian coachella for a Smiths reunion.

All vendors at the March 1 show are mandated to ban "flesh as food" by the singer, a longtime animal activist. At his request, McDonald's won't open, either.
Well the show IS sold out....
ugh, why does anybody do anything for that fucking baby?
