I love em. I've seen most every tour except this most recent LA performance. I like the new drummer pretty well. But material-wise I'll freely admit to truly getting excited by anything from the first two records, especially Take Them On, On Your Own. They don't disappoint live, that's for sure.

And they do a lot for the fans. I saw one show at Echoplex where they literally played every old song and were onstage for a couple of hours. I wish that night was still going on.

I also saw them do a benefit show at the Roller Derby rink. It was a short set, but they still showed up and crushed it. It was weird, there was a roller derby game... and then suddenly BRMC at the opposite of the venue. Didn't phase them at all.

Can you tell I love this band?

Was gonna try this new thing called saving money, but I can't pass up Sufjan at the Disney Concert Hall.

You won't be sorry, especially if they bust out something like Awake or Red Eyes and Tears. The dark, moody stuff. Oh, and just say yes to whiskey/booze before the show as Chris suggests.

I love brmc and have seen some fantastic shows from them but wouldn't go to another show unless the new album was really solid. the last album's tour was so disappointing.

I second TG's sentiments. Amazing set to get lost in. And yah I had same convo w/ them about Coach. They say they're signed on for 2014. Not sure the set can translate outdoors though. You kinda need complete darkness to pull this off. Just like how Amon Tobins set at Coachella was really underwhelming compared to Fonda. Troub last night was the perfect setting. Also, I gotta say this band has the nicest merch around.

Tycho's Sasquatch set was at 3 pm and I thought it was fantastic. Then again, they do close off the sides of the tent so it's a bit darker.

Good for them! They sold out 6 nights at Beacon Theatre last time so this is not surprising at all

The National are an amazing band and simply stunning live. Really excited that they'll have an album out this year too.

Tycho was great last night. Hearing it in a small club with great sound versus the FYF set he played which was still amazing was a real treat. New visuals were cool, and the new songs were even better. Talked to Scott after the show and we will have a new album from them this year! 2013 is starting off nicely for live shows!

On a side note, I was talking to a guy after the show that works at the troub I think and apparently said Freddie Gibbs and madlib will be playing a show there!

Bill Orcutt/Chris Corsano duo - Feb 21 at The Lab in San Francisco, CA.

Rangda (Chris Corsano, Sir Richard Bishop, and Ben Chasney)
Feb 22 at Eagle Rock Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, CA. With Blues Control.
Feb 23 at The Chapel in San Francisco, CA. With Blues Control.
Feb 24 at TBA in Davis, CA.
Feb 25 at The Shanty in Eureka, CA.
Feb 26 at Star Theater in Portland, OR.
Feb 27 at Barboza in Seattle, WA.
    Feb 28 at TBA
    Mar 1 at TBA

Definitely recommend checking them out if you can. Corsano is amazing on the kit, and of course Sir Richard Bishop and Ben Chasney (of Six Organs of Admittance) are both great as well.

I only care to go if Against Me! and Polar Bear Club play. I'd essentially be going for those two, and check out Bad Religion for a bit. Against Me! are one of my favorites in that genre.
