This was a bit of a mixed bag, but overall I had a lot of fun. He had some parts in the middle that were so bad/hoarse that a bunch of people left (exacerbated by some shakiness on both the band and sound mixing fronts), which is sort of unfortunate for them as the back half of the set was much stronger than the first and was thoroughly enjoyable. We got a bunch of classics reinterpreted (the encore was a pleasant piano version of Blowin' In The Wind that everybody was pretty fully astonished to hear, and Tangled Up In Blue was...vocally interesting). I think the highlight for me in terms of everything "working" despite the myriad issues was Ballad of a Thin Man, which they played very heavily and resonantly. Mark Knopfler's set was also very strong, though he's got such a relaxing voice that it nearly put me to sleep.

Bob's behavior the entire night reminded me a lot of the recent Leonard Cohen shows - funny sideways dapper movements and hat-wearing.

Thanks for that review. Makes me feel better about going to the Hollywood Bowl show next week. I'm just going to go with liw expectations, and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised (maybe)

This is so stupid. If they thought it was gonna be crazy, why play a small room? Making it a lottery just screams 'hey, we think this act is so popular that we're gonna make you get lucky to even buy tickets'

This review is pretty spot-on, and includes a link to the setlist if you're interested.

    You're out of the loop.

Still dumb to make it a lottery. What if the requests are less than te capacity? Are they going to do a regular sale? This is a wrong way to experiment selling tickets for small acts.

Low End will have a special guest tomorrow night for the six year. Hasn't played low end in many years. Not a huge name but it'll still be nice for nostalgia's sake.

Halloween will have a big secret guest though. It won't be anyone that hasn't made their name in DJing so no badu or anything like that. Don't miss that one!!!!

You're right, but what it would surprise me if it were some kind of showcase kinda thing where more 50% of the capacity is comped/invitees and they really have a tiny mount of tickets available.

Either way I'm also out of the loop, never heard of her, and the Sade comparison makes me sure I'm not interested anyway.

So, who wants to buy me a Neil Young ticket tomorrow? And who then wants to call Neil and make sure he plays For the Turnstiles. Recently I've been convinced it's his best song.
