Not a music show but figured this would get more views here.

I think that rules Muse out. I don't see any band playing Saturday or Sunday night, spending the week on the east coast, and then flying back to do another Saturday or Sunday night, and then flying back to the east coast again. I mean, it's possible, but I doubt it.
Chk chk chk in Long Beach this weekend! Woooot!
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Spamalot (7/31), HARD (8/1) 2001 Space Odyssey with LA Phil (8/12), Opeth (10/18), TOOL (10/31), Coachella 2016 (WK1), David Gilmour (Wherever I need to go)
do you guys think mumford will add another show @ the bowl?
October 17-27 Michael Clark Company w/ Relaxed Muscle at London's Barbican
the long of it
i cannot fucking believe those barbara shows sold out. those are the msot expensive tickets i have ever seen.
Oh man, just having to sit through the openers, Il Volo and Chris Boti would make me want to hang myself even before Barbara took the stage.

I saw the Black Keys tonight and it was very mediocre and stale. A few of the songs were cool live but overall the set seemed flat and the band just wasn't that into it. Def one of the least impressive shows I have seen all year.
In what has to be one of the more pleasant surprises of this year so far, Ariel Pink was absolutely fantastic tonight at the Fonda. Short but sweet, 47 minute set with no encore. Not sure if it was just an on night or whether they've really figured out how to perform well live...the instruments were extremely loud, and Ariel's voice was washed in reverb and fairly low in the mix. All but one song were from the past two albums, concluding with a really free-form take on Nostradamus & Me...a bit of a mess, but they really took the ball and ran with it and pulled it off well overall. This could very well be the best show I ever see from him/them, so glad I went tonight.
And the short AP set worked perfectly for booking it down to the King King right after for Max Cooper, we got there only about 10 minutes into his fantastic, fantastic set.

Where's the best place to park for shows at the Greek? Just got an email saying there will be no unstacked parking, so I'd rather not park at the venue.

Just get stacked parking and learn to smoke a lot of pot before you go into a concert. Make sure not to listen to the artist you are seeing, nor should you be wearing any articles of clothing related to the band you're about to see.
Don't smoke pot? Well then fucking start.
I agree with parking on Los Feliz and walking up. it's a steep hill, but it's only a 10-15 minute walk, and it's really nice walking down at the end of the night and skipping that crazy bottle neck traffic coming out of the lots.
Also, I must disagree with Omar about the The Black Keys last night. it was my first time seeing them, and I'm only a casual fan, but I thought they were great. Also, it was the first time I'd been on the floor at Staples and was surprised how easy it was to get up right next to the stage. i was probably 30 feet back, and it was easy to forget I was in a huge venue, it felt like I was seeing them at the Fonda or something. Tegan and Sara were very, very good too (though one of them was having some vocal issues, it sounded like she might be getting sick). i am a big fan of theirs though. They played a lot of material from The Con, and a couple new songs.
