House of Blues Anaheim
December 13, 2012
ps Is Joe (Modest Mouse) their drummer still?
Yeah Plummer is the drummer. And Wincing the Night Away is awesome, shhh! I do have some issue with the whole band member thing though... Anyways.
Yes they are still around and the shows are awesome costumes, evil space monsters, and all. The christmas time shows are especially great with all the extra stuff they bring out and the santa costumes. I had always heard they were banned from playing the Disney House of Blues though since they made fun of Mickey Mouse and disney execs one time.
More tickets released for the xx hollywood forever show:

i'll be there. can't wait for tone of arc
Just picked up tickets to see Amon Tobin and Holy Other at the Greek Theater on the 12th. I'm still iffy on this show being at a venue with assigned seating, but we'll see how it goes.
The Best with the Worst!!! I think FlyLo just loves NYC
ps Congrats to FlyLo for selling out Terminal 5! His biggest headlining show yet! Crap ass venue but it'll be a party with Thundercat, Teebs and Jeremiah Jae!!!
ps Also 11/12 Death Grips @ Music Hall of WilliamsburgFor the first time, NPR Music and WNYC's Soundcheck come together during the CMJ Music Marathon to present a showcase of singular artists. Los Angeles electronic composer Steven Ellison, a.k.a. Flying Lotus, headlines an October 17 concert on the heels of his new album, Until the Quiet Comes. He's joined by the uncompromising noise-rap group Death Grips, playing its first New York City show since releasing a major-label debut back in April.
Ali Shaheed Muhammad, one-third of the legendary rap group A Tribe Called Quest and co-host of NPR Music's Microphone Check, will DJ throughout the evening.
More artists will be announced soon.
Watch the show live from (Le) Poisson Rouge in New York City at this page or via NPR Music mobile, and listen for highlights on Soundcheck. Listeners in the New York area will be able to RSVP for free tickets next week. Stand by for details.
The Shins were so much better last night than they were at Sasquatch. I was surprised with how much energy they had.
I enjoyed Washed Out as well. Not a big fan, but the full band thing works well for him.
Spooks, your extreme hatred of Death Grips is confusing. They actually seem like a group you would enjoy, given your tastes.
8/7/16 - Sufjan Stevens @ Hollywood Bowl // 8/8/16 - Radiohead @ Shrine // 8/8/16 - Boris @ Regent
9/14/16 - Wilco @ Theatre at Ace Hotel // 9/18/16 - Kraftwerk @ Hollywood Bowl
The Santa Ana show is actually on Nov 9th:
Parking just went on sale for The xx show at Hollywood Forever for $20 and there's the option to park at the Paramount for $8 bucks. What's the best way to go for parking?
