    Default Muse 7th album.

According to their IG they're back in the studio working on a new album. I've always been a pretty big fan of muse because showbiz, oos and absolution are great albums. A lot of their early eps are good as well, BHAR is a decent album but the resistance and the 2nd law are pretty terrible. I have SOME hope that this album won't totally suck, they brought in a new producer and I thought I heard somewhere that they wanted to make a more raw rock album as opposed to the weird electronic crap they've been putting out. Also hoping this album doesn't have a bunch of political Mumbo jumbo either. If this albums decent than I'll go see them live again when they tour, if it's crap than coachella 2014 might be the last time I'll ever see Muse.

    Anyways, Muse LOOMS 2015.

The Resistance is a great album and I loved the sets during that tour. The 2nd Law was awful. I have high hopes for this album based on the direction they claim there taking

The resistance tour was pretty legit, I wasn't a fan of that album in general but I like a few songs off of it. 2nd law was a huge pile of shit, it was like the anchorman 2 of music.

The Resistance was terrible but not as bad as 2nd Law. I'm glad that they really only perform 1 song off of Resistance anymore. I'd rather them just be a rock band and not whatever the hell they were trying to do with those two albums. It's like they wanted to be as grandiose as Queen and as annoying as U2. The Resistance and 2nd Law was them buying into their own hype. Make another album like Absolution and I'll be back.

Pretty sad that we live in a world where they don't always play new born anymore. Also lame that they barely ever play anything off of showbiz.

Muse have always been over-the-top, but they've gotten way too far up their own asses with style over substance. The Resistance was boring, but not as terrible as The 2nd Law, which had the most embarrassing choirs, out-of-place strings, and just all around shitty songs (please never let Chris Wolstenholme sing lead on a track ever again). I've also become gradually more disenchanted with their live shows, though that probably has a lot to do with the songs being worse. That's why as much as I enjoy their older stuff, I'm very skeptical of their next album, regardless of what they say. Hope they prove me wrong.

I can't help but be a fan of Muse even though their last two albums were almost across-the-board terrible. If Dom Howard wasn't so great I probably would have written them off already, but he is, so hope continues to spring eternal. I just hope they've taken the universal criticism of what they've done lately to heart, I get that they wanted to experiment, can't fault them for it, but this experiment was a resounding failure, time to move on.

It's ok. You just need historical context to get it. Looms were a big deal when Tom was a teen.

Lol, I'm not saying shit about it. It's just always the same shit with muse. They've always been lame in a lot of ways. Art, presentation, themes, lyrics... Always a bit much. Don't know why anyone would expect any thing different and want to come in here to talk about it.

I have some hope for this album.

Speaking about their plans for the new album, Bellamy said previously: "I have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we've experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff."
