I've had a couple master locks which I have found easier than a couple apprentice level ones I have experienced. Lockpicking can be really hit or miss.

Did you talk to Maramal in Riften? you can't get the marriage options until you speak to him.

yup. he sold me that necklace. i googled the question and people on yahoo answers suggest there is a "bug" in the game that does not allow you to marry her.

Still, I can become a werewolf later and make little werewolf babies with that Aela broad in The Companions so there is always that.

It's too bad that you can't get a divorce in Skyrim.

Rumor has it somewhere along the main quest line Lydia will eventually ask you for help. Upon finishing that bit you can marry her.

Be warned console players, if Lydia dies and you try to marry someone else afterward there's a good chance her corpse will turn up at your wedding. People will talk about it, your fiancee will cry, you will fail the marriage quest. It happens with any permanent followers.

PC players resurrect her and don't take her into any dungeons. Don't let any of your followers die. This seems like an intentional "glitch."

    Check it out hahaha:

This holiday season is just wayy too stacked. I'm gonna have a huge backlog of games to play once I finish Skyrim just from these last few and next few months.

Ok so I just got sucked in pretty hard and hit level 11 and just killed my second dragon. Skyrim is terribly majestic looking at all time. The moons, the weather, the northern lights, it all just a constant bombardment of "holy shit that looks awesome." I didn't think I would appreciate another Elder Scrolls after Fallout 3 spoiled me by being the perfect setting for a game, but this will do.

got a great tip from IGN just a few minutes ago. there is a real quick way to raise your smithing to 100 in a few minutes. once you have a couple thousand gold go to a blacksmith and buy all of his iron ingots and all of his leather strips. then go to the forge and craft some iron daggers. make as many as you need and it'll start flying through levels. i just did it and flew from 60 to 75 in about 10 minutes.

Level 15 mage here, altmer, destruction/fire. Feel like I've been smoking crack for 4 days. But it's all been totally worth it, because I'm the Arch-Mage and you're not (unless, you are).

Hide Bracers are also a good option here. At level 95, I think it took me 11 Iron Daggers to level up from 94.

And you can keep the daggers and use them to help level up your enchanting, but I still don't know exactly how useful that skill is. I imagine it would be if you got all the perks, but I'm not sure I want to risk it and find out that I just wasted a whole skill tree.

    I like hunting, I do.

Still, the terror when you realise you shoot a mammoth and then a giant fucking giant looms into view is quite special.

Stupid question - people keep telling me I look sick, can I check my status on the UI somewhere? Do I have to buy a remedy of some description or can I sleep it off?

I believe using one of the little shrines (there's one for Talos near the big tree in Whiterun) clears all of your ailments

In the past games enchanting was the best way to come up with creative exploits. Like armor that pretty much keeps you invisible, regenerating health and magic.

I had the same issue. I still don't know exactly what I had, but I found a shrine to Dibella and it cleared me of everything. Thanks to the suggestions above, though, I know where to check next time.

You have to drink a potion that cures disease. You can buy one or make one. Same thing happened to me and I bought one from a potion shop in some town, can't remember which one.

After 30 hours Reddit finally taught me that you can hotkey spells and weapons. Thanks in-game tutorial.
